"I know I grew up with cheap towels the first time I felt the luxury of these towels. We registered for the on our Macy�s Wedding registry and have been using them for over a year and a half now. They�ve not lost one iota of softness through repeated uses and washings nor have the colors faded (I got the dark chocolate brown). I�ve not had any trouble with pilling or raveling at all. I would recommend them to anyone not only for their rich color and classic styling, but also for high quality and durability."

"Eight or ten years ago we purchased the Hotel Collection Towels in Chamomile and loved then right from the get-go. Recently we remodelled our master bathroom in White and Dark Blue. So I naturally reordered the Hotel Collection, this time in Indigo. The Chamomile ones are still in perfect condition and will go into the guest bathroom and serve another eight to ten years! The Indigo ones will decorate the renovated bath!!! Oh, I also ordered matching rugs."

"After registering for Hotel Collection microcotton towels, my wife and I received 8 bathtowels, 4 face towels, and 4 washcloths as wedding gifts. The first time we washed them, they shrank considerably , and several unraveled. For example, a 30x54 bath towel came out at 28x49. This is unacceptable for such an expensive, seemingly "high quality" item, and we are extremely disappointed in these products. Now we're stuck with several sets of towels that we can't return, and will have to purchase a different product."

"I bought Hotel Collection towels a few years ago and they are still as soft and fluffy as the day I got them! I love the white color but next time I might choose a different color because the white can look dirty over time (especially on hand towels used to take off make-up). Wait for a great sale and use your Macy's coupons. Worth the money for the lasting luxury. Great gift too."

"I washed them and dried them following directions and was very impressed with the quality, softness and retaining their shape. I found very little lint in the dryer and the towels came out looking the same as they were when they went in. No puckering of the design area and borders. I went back the next day and bought several more sets with my wife's list of colors to choose. You will be very happy with these towels, they feel so soft and are very absorbent."

"After reading lots of reviews online I decided to buy these towels. I just rec'd them and I am not dissapointed.They are very soft and absorbent and I absolutely love them! I am cautious about the spotting problem mentioned in some of the reviews and plan on washing the towels by themselves to see if that helps. Overall I am very happy with my purchase!"

"My husband and I received these towels in Aegean and White as a present for our wedding. We absolutely love them! They are sooo soft and they hold up very well in the wash. Amazingly enough, its been a year since we've been using them and the white is still white. Just follow the advice on "keeping skin products on your skin and not the towels." The Aegean has some spots, so I'll be getting a new one soon. I would highly recommend these towels to anyone and everyone!"

"So I picked up a few of these towels in the bath sheet size. Might as well go big. Got the white color due to some people saying that they spotted. I figure if they spot, I'll nuke it with bleach. So the towels are very soft and fairly thick.
The only caveat is that I would say to wash and dry them about 4 times before you use them. Different people have different threshold's of OCD. I don't like drying off and looking like I just rolled in a cotton ball. Fuzzies everywhere. So 4 washes and enough lint to make another towel later, and it's all good. I waited for a sale, and I'd say it was worth it."

"Prior to purchasing these towels, I stalked the website and read reviews several times over the course of a year. I just recently got engaged and we bought our first home several weeks ago. Since I still had Ralph Lauren towels that were still in like new condition and would be registering for our wedding shortly, I had a hard time justifying this purchase. I discussed the towels with several coworkers, who thought the towels were way too expensive, most suggested the Martha Stewart towels as a cheaper alternative. Neverless, I waited for a good sale, and bought a set of towels in both the chamois and the vanilla. I couldn't wait to use them, so I washed them as soon as I got home (without fabric softener or a dryer sheet, like suggested) and used them that same evening. From first use I have been in love! I was worried about the bleaching, since I do use whitening toothpaste and also use facial cleaners for acne, but I haven't had any problems, even after intentionally getting both on the chamois towels. I have even seen left over smears of make up and mascara come right out of the vanilla ones with no worries. Of course, after that, I was sold and gave away all of the Ralph Lauren towels!
I did take away one star because the towels do seem to pill, though they don't really shed. This seems to correct itself after several times in the dryer.
Also, haven't had any issue with absorbency, but I have been extra careful to avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets. I have super thick and long hair and these towels actually seem to absorb more than the others, reducing my blow dry time.
I am definitely buying a couple more sets during this Labor Day sale AND will be adding these towels to my wedding registry!"

I didn't think it would be a problem since I don't use cosmetics, etc....I have never had a towel do this in my life...can't believe they still sell them..mine need to be trashed. Very Good Overall but be Warned,August 10, 2009

"I have many of these towels and love them. I have them in Chamois, Chamomile, Mercury and Green Tea. I bought the Green Tea ones for a second bathroom and they are the only one that I have had a problem with. They discolored first as if they had bleach spilled on them. Small yellow spots appeared all over them and gradually they discolored to an even yellow color.
At first I thought it was something I did, but eventually I realized it was the towels. I should have tried to return them.
The ones that have held their color are amazing. They still look brand new and feel as soft as ever. I just ordered more in Chocolate brown."

"I recieved my towels as a wedding gift. At first, I loved them. Then I noticed yellow spots everywhere. I thought it was my fault, that maybe one little drop of beach found its way in the washer- so I replaced about 4 towels. I am very careful with beach and rarely use it. Once again- after one wash - yellow spots all over the towels- including my brand new ones. Once I read the reviews- I realized that it was not just me. All 10 of my expensive towels have yellow spots all over them. I bought aegean. I will not purchase any more of these towels."
