Pretty dress, but...

"It took three tries, all three dresses the very same color (plum) and size, to get just one that was right for my son's end of August wedding. First dress had the lace improperly sewn in the back. Second didn't come with the wrap. Third? In every way, perfect. Very glad I started the process in April tho. Imagine if I had waited?
As I hadn't returned Dress #2 till the third came, I was able to compare and contrast. Dresses were, surprisingly enough, different. 1 was actually tighter.
Love the material, love the lace, love the fit, love the color!"

Perfect Dress!

"I bought this at my local Macy's after trying on a slew of formal dresses - I knew it was "the one" as soon as I put it on. I wore it to a black tie gala last night it was perfect! I wore a stick-on strapless backless bra that the Macy's saleswomen recommended and it worked like a dream (and I'm busty)."

Beautiful Dress!

"This dress is very elegant and flattering. The lace sleeves are perfect for me, because I don't like strapless dresses. I'm 5'2" and the bottom still brushes the floor when I'm wearing 3 inch heels. The only negative is that the front gapes open when I bend down/lean forward, so I will need to put something in the top. #It is perfectly modest if you are standing/sitting/etc.# Overall this is a very lovely modest dress; not skin tight, but still fitted."

"I bought this dress as my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. I felt the lace details and gathering in the back made the dress stunning from both the front and back- which was important to me as I was walking up and down the aisle and the shaw was a nice addition since it was a winter wedding. I had a lot of running around to do that day and was extremely comfortable in this dress as well as complimented on how I looked in it. I bought it in navy and hope to be able to wear it again- because it was so comfortable and flattering. I am about 5'5" and was able to wear high heels with the dress still being floor length. I gave it an excellent rating for comfort, style, class, and beauty. It was a little more expensive than I had wanted- but well worth the cost. I couldn't have been happier!"

The Perfect Dress

"I was looking for a dress for a black tie event. I tried on about 6 or 7 dresses. I wasn't thrilled with any of them. This was the last dress and I didn't really like it that much...until I put it on! You know that feeling you get when you try something on that is just perfect? This was it! The picture doesn't show how beautiful the dress is. I'm 53 with a fairly decent figure. But I wanted something age appropriate. I think this is. The cap sleeve covers some of your arm. And the ruching is just in the right places. Hides the tummy and the butt! Really stunning dress. Can't wait to wear it!"

"I have a "black tie" wedding to attend later this month and wanted something not too over the top - I found the shorter version of this dress in store and loved it. I'd tried on several other dresses and kept coming back to this one because of how flattering the lace detail was. I'm pretty curvy (11 inch difference b/t waist and hips), and this flattered very nicely. I know another customer commented about padding in the bodice - usually I'm never one to go without a bra (36C) but this dress fits very well and with the padding I think braless is very do-able. Definitely my new little black dress!"

Beautiful and Timeless

"I bought this dress in plum at a store. I normally buy petite so the proportions are right but the regular size fit me perfectly save for the length. The draping in the front and ruching in the back are flattering and comfortable. Very fitted without feeling like you are stuffed in a sausage casing. The neckline, small cap sleeves and key hole back are lovely. The dress has sewn in cups so unless you are very busty, no need for a bra. Another reviewer mentioned that she did not get the shawl when purchasing at the store. Neither did I, but I called the store , they found it and shipped it to me. I will wear it to my daughter's wedding and the classic design should make it wearable for other formal occasions for years to come."

"I tried this on in a Macys store and fell in love with the dress, but not the price. But I could not stop thinking about the dress and comparing everything else to it, so I bought it online because the dress is the store was ripped. I usually wear a size 10 and the 12 fit perfectly so it may run a little small. The length is perfect (I'm 5'7"). This dress is elegant, dressy and will be a classic that can be worn again."

"I purchased this dress about a month ago for a wedding, I ordered a 14 W, didnt realize that I ordered W. It came in 3 days!! When it arrived it was beautiful, The dress is beautifully made, However 14W was too wide, when I lifted my arms the dress rode up, and practically came off. I have more of an hourglass figure and the dress fit good in the bust, but loose everywhere else. It also was verry long, I had to try it on with my 4 1/2 high heel!! So I decided to order size 14, It took 2 weeks!!!!! I was very disapointed!!!! The dress was too tight, I couldnt even zip it up!! Also the picture from the first dress showed three buttons, ( which I liked) but the second one came with one button and a clasp and a snap button :S Also it was way too small in the bust area. Also the bottom was too short, showing my ankles without heels :(

If you dont have any issues with sizes, this dress is perfect, Highly recommend it, I just lucked out since 14 W was too big, and 14 regular was too small!!! :("

Perfect Evening Dress

"I had to go to a "black tie optional" wedding... which is always difficult to plan what you are going to wear. I found this dress in-store and fell in love with it when I tried it on. It looks awkward and ankle-length on the model, but falls perfectly with heels and I'm 5'7". No matter what your body type, this dress is flattering because of the way it's ruched and the material is stretchy but not too clingy. I got several compliments... the back especially is stunning. What's more, I can't get over how affordable it is. The perfect dress to have in your closet for a formal night out."

"I went to the MOA thinking I would not find the wright dress, my husband picked this one out and we added probably six different dress to try on. Well, this is the first one I tried on and it was very difficult to try the next six on as I knew immediately this was the perfect dress for me. So we bought it!!!

I say NO on recommending it as I don't want too many other people to purchase this dress, LOL."

Very Elegant!

"I love this dress! I purchased two dresses online for a formal event, this dress and another one that cost about three times as much. But once I put this one on, I knew I would be returning the other one! The fabric stretches, so although it is form-fitting it is still very comfortable. The draped neckline is perfect for any bust line and the front drape lays in such a way that it flatters any figure. I am 5'5" and wore 3" heels and the dress was a perfect length. I would definitely recommend purchasing this dress online, as the one's I saw in the store did not come with the beautiful shawl."
