"A true coffee afficionado here. I LOVE this coffee maker. One feature I really like is the ability to adjust carafe temperature (3 temps); previous brands I've owned just didn't keep the coffee hot enough. "After buying many coffee makers over the years, I was never happy with the flavor, and especially the brew temperature, of the final cup of coffee. This coffee maker brews the coffee at the right temp, extracting the full flavor, and keeps it at the right temp when you are ready for another cup. We love this guy, and highly recommend it if you are as fussy as we WERE!"

"We purchased this item 4 yeas ago and would give it 4 stars on coffee taste and temperature. However, the clock is so small and not lit so very difficult to see, especially when trying to set the time (which needs to be done after every power failure, even if the power goes out for a split second) or program it for brewing. Cleaning and brewing time receive 1 star...both are unsatisfactory. Cleaning, as in decalcifying cleaning, takes forever and never felt it worked (even though we followed all the directions and specifications). And after the third year of ownership, brewing time increased...taking nearly 20 minutes! Now, however, after 4 short years, it brews no more. So, it receives no stars for durability. The flip switch does not activate the "on" function. Sadly, I am unable to find any coffee maker that meets all of the desirable features - sufficient water brewing temperature (200 F), thermal carafe, programmable and auto turn-off. So, have pulled out an old coffee maker that works (and has none of these features!)."

"I received this coffee maker as a wedding present two years ago. As other reviewers have posted, the thing just stopped working. The lights and clock function but nothing happens when you flip the switch to brew. I can't believe that this is a common occurence and Cuisinart has done nothing to address this problem. I will definitely be switching brands when I purchase a replacement."

"I've used this coffee maker for less than 12 months with excellent results. However, today when the power switch was flipped on, the indicator light when on but nothing happened - the machine wouldn't operate. I called Cuisinart and tried the cleaning process with white vinegar and water as they suggested, but to no avail - the coffee maker still won't work. This was the most expensive coffee maker I've ever purchased and I wish I hadn't wasted my money. I'll purchase a cheap machine and won't feel bad when it conks out. I'm stuck with a bunch of extra water filters for this machine, too - what a waste!"

"After lots of research I chose this coffee maker in the stainless style and I am extremely happy with this purchase! The coffee tastes great, it's easy to keep clean, looks great on the counter and has all the features I need. We like to make ice coffee so the 3 different temperature settings are perfect. We set it to go off right after brew on the lowest temp and stick the pot in the fridge for about a 1/2 hour and we have better ice coffee than the high priced cafes! I do wish the clock was larger and yes you have to pull it out from under the counter to fill. No big deal. You won't regret this coffee maker!"

"I have had mine for 3 years and it works really well. My Mom and Dad have had theirs for 6 years and still works like it is new. "Coffee pot went bust in less than one year. All of a sudden the switch went. Fooled with it each morning; not a good thing when you need coffee first thing in the morning, it worked for a few days but there was a short in the switcher. We buy great coffee, grind and therefore wanted a good maker. Whats the old adage? "Once bitten twice shy...." Should have heeded what the consensus was in the reviews. I'm switching to another manufacturer."
