"the plastic part that is glued or attached on the motor or holder for the blender and on which you sit the glass jug/holder CRACKED after very little use. Renders the item UNUSABLE. That is the little piece inside the holder for the jug. I'm going to see if I can get the whole thing replaced but not holding my breath."

Doesn't crush ice well. Motor smells after short use to crush ice

"I bought this after the avocado green 70's cheapo Kenmore I bought for college finally died. It crushed ice right to its death and as lovely as this blender is, crushing ice is what I needed it to do.
It gets that burning motor smell too quickly for blending even a small amount of ice. I did not abuse it or make it crush tons of ice at once. My Kenmore was a monster and made snow if I wanted it to.
I've had it for a month am going to try to return it. :("

Doesn't chop ice

"This blender doesn't chop ice. I needed it to make smoothies but a few cubes of ice (store brought ice) along with juice and the blender pretended as if it would cut the ice but really all of the whole cubes were just pushed to the sides. No ice was actually chopped. just brought it yesterday and it will be returned to the store."

"This is the third blender I have purchased in 40 years, and it is by far the worst. It is not powerful at all, and even worse, it leaks. The gasket does not fit properly. I know I screwed the container to the base tightly. The contents leaked all over my counter. Just to test it, I then tried it with water only - twice. Both times, same result. Do not buy it."

"This blender works just fine. The problem is with the plastic blade housing. It cracked after using the blender for only 4 months rendering the blender almost unusable. Liquid seeps through the crack and makes a huge mess every time I use the blender."
