In celebration of Accutron, a revolutionary breakthrough in timekeeping technology introduced 50 years ago, Bulova commemorates this 50th anniversary with a Limited Edition replica of the original alpha case version of the Accutron Spaceview 214. Hand-made black alligator leather strap and round stainless steel case. Double-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Green and goldtone skeleton dial features silvertone hands, dot markers and iconic logo at twelve o'clock. Numbered only to 1000. Electronic turning fork movement. Water resistant to 30 meters. Three-year limited warranty.

Accutron 214 replica, a new peice of history.

"The new spaceview 214 is a beautiful timepeice. It is larger than the original(I have a 1964 Spaceview that was my Dad's). Over the last month it has kept perfect time +/- <2secs.It makes the classical "hum" as the second hand smoothly rotates. I lucked out and was able to get the display case from my jeweler as well.
The tuning fork movement is the same as the original and is handmade. My other two Accutrons are nearly fifty years old and are "humming" right along. This watch is expensive, but well worth it considering the history of its pedecessors. It is a modern version of a classic peice of Americana. Just beautiful."
