Wonderful Sofa!

"We bought two Paolo sofas and have placed them facing each other in our living room. Looks sharp! We've only had them a few days, so I can't speak to long term durability, although I believe this is the same manufacturer as the last leather couch I purchased which was from Marshall Fields 10 years ago. That one is still holding up well and will be moved to another room. My saleswomen at Macy's was very helpful and explained the difference between the quality of this brand vs some of the other leather couches (without being pushy). I was torn between this and the Gina sectional, which is by the same brand, and am so glad we went this route! This sofa is unique, makes a statement and is quite comfortable.

Delivery time frame was short, and the gentlemen that delivered the couches were wonderful. They were careful not to damage the couches or my walls coming in. We live in a condo so they had some trouble getting each sofa into the building, but were able to take the bottom frame off...the sofa is actually two pieces connected at the bottom! Can't even tell when you are looking at it, although sitting right in the center is less comfortable.

My husband is 6'3 and can stretch out easily; he's commented several times how much he likes these couches! I've purchased several furniture pieces from Fields/Macy's and have always been pleased."

"Our first delivery was botched by two delivery men who were too intent on getting in and out too quickly and not separating the two sections of the sofa. The result was a bent frame on the sofa causing the two pieces to overlap when reclined. Macy's delivered a brand new one yesterday. Perfect delivery and installation, as described in the literature. The two pieces look and feel great. We got the dark brown version and it is dark. Also, the finish on the brown is a little shinier than the tan color."

"My husband and I purchased both the Sofa and Loveseat in Camel - which is a nice, bright shade. I had seen the furniture in an ad, liked it, but was reluctant to buy without seeing the actual product. So we checked it out on the Showroom floor in NYC. So glad we did!! The leather is very soft, construction seems very solid, and the lumbar support is great. The Camel color looks great in our Family Room, and it's a nice neutral color that I can accessorize easily. One other reviewer had mentioned difficulty in returning the foot rests to position and I have to agree. We find that we have to give them an extra push to get back into place - but that's a minor inconvenience. Otherwise a quality product which I hope to enjoy for many years. Also kudos to the Delivery Team - we purchased on a Thursday and the furniture was delivered the following Thursday. They called to remind me of the delivery at the beginning of the week, and then again the day before to give us a 2 hour delivery window - between 8:30 and 10:30 AM. Sure enough at 9:00 AM, they arrived, were very polite and efficient in moving our old furniture out of the room and setting up the new pieces. Quite impressed with Macy's and I have told several of my friends and clients about this service."

"We purchased this sofa for my parents who are seniors. The sofa arrived on the date it was promised and in excellent condition. The delivery crew was very professional and accomodating. The sofa looks spectacular and my parents are very much enjoying its comfort and beauty. The leather is very soft, has very wide arms that function as a side table, the back offer terrific lumbar support, and the back is high enough that it supports my father's neck and head and he's over six feet tall. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it still is a bit difficult to return from reclining to sitting position. You need strong legs to do so and it's not the easiest for seniors. Otherwise....5 starts! Highly recommend it."

"I purchased the dual reclining sofa and recliner in Camel on a Saturday and it was delivered on the following Thursday. I am so pleased with this set. The reclining mechanism is very easy and doesn't require strong muscles to use! The camel adds a nice blast of color to the room. It's very vibrant and rich! You must try it out for yourself."

"Since we've purchased the sofa and loveseat combination, we've received nothing but compliments from our friends and family. It has an ere of simplistic quality yet feels and looks elegant. The framework is solid construction with a reclining mechanism that is smooth, easily released, and retracted. The level of comfort is superb. I really love this set!

If you have access to a store you should go sit on one and see for yourself how well you lower lumbar is supported; but the only slight draw back is if you wear polyester blend clothing you may tend to slip a little. I merely attribute that occurring due to the fact we are still breaking it in."
