"Thanks to all for honest reviews...bought this set having seen it online...thrilled to pieces! Totally made my guest room perfect to welcome my visiting mom. Dark wood sleigh bed never looked so good! Put dark chocolate panels over the windows, plum towels and rugs in the bath; it looks rich for such a great price...compliments were so resounding, I bought another set for our own bed up north. Looks as nice on medium oak bed. It would be nice if the queen were a tad wider, but terrific over all.."

"It is beautiful and super soft. We get compliments on it all the time from both men and women, especially that we found something pretty that is yet still not too feminine for a couple's bedroom.
In person, the burgundy is a little bit more purple, less brown than the picture."

"I bought this last Fall, so I've had it for six months. It's still in great shape! The comforter is very warm and I've rarely needed another blanket with it. Love the colors. I only wish it was machine washable."

"I was looking for an inexpensive comforter set that would revive life back into my bedroom. I found this set on super sale and scooped it up immediately (a week later it was gone)! I'm now on the hunt for sheets. There are a few loose strings but nothing that can't be taken care of with a quick snip of scissors."

"I was shopping around for a nice bedding set for my bedroom and when I came across this one...I had to get. After reading all the reviews I waited til it went on sale and purchased it immediately. Once I put it on my bed I could not stop staring at it. This set is so beautiful, classy and elegant. It will truly light up your whole room. I plan on matching it up with either dark red, brown, burgundy, or grey sheets. Highly recommended."

Excellent Comforter Set

"I got this set for my wife for Christmas, along with new sheets and a blanket for her Birthday. We set this up together and it looks absolutely great! I love the shams, the comforter is thick and even, and it just looks so "clean". It truly dresses up our bedroom after repainting, new pictures, etc. The hiqh quality sheets I also got on sale and they match the bedskirt perfectly too. At this price, this item is a steal!"

Pretty, but lacks quality

"I had to return this item twice! I was satisfied with the overall look of design, it was very pretty and added to my Asian inspired bedroom. The comforter was not very thick, so I used a a fleece throw underneath to add some warmth without covering up the design. I was happy for the first week, but then the embroidery threads kept coming undone. I was having to snip threads on both comforters. Also, both blankets had black lines, almost like pencil, across the white portion of the comforter that wouldn't come off with spot cleaning. The white fabric was also fairly thin, so I was able to see the batting inside and long stray threads from the embroidery. It was tolerable until the batting somehow formed a very huge hole at the top. We had the 2nd comforter for only 2 weeks when it formed. Macy's graciously took it back and I exchanged it for a different set by another designer. I recommend this set for a guest bedroom only, but not for everyday use. Too much maintenance was required."

"It looks absolutely beautiful once you open the bag & put it on your bed. BUT, once you wash it & dry it all the stuffing shifts to a corner of the conforter, even drying with tenis balls. I literally have to take the suffing balls & try to spread it out.
It leave gaps of just comforter material.
It hold the lint & can't get it off.
REALLY, REALLY disappointed"

"This is a absolutely beautiful comforter set. I have nothing bad to say about it. I have a Chihuahua that sleeps with us. Her nails are no problem. I suppose if she dug into the set that it could cause damage but that could happen to any comforter set.
I love it and it's so soft and covers us well. I've had it for 6 months now and it's still beautiful. I have also bought 2 other sets for other rooms. I'm so glad that I found this sight. The other sets are also a great choice."

"This set is very pretty -- I bought it because it was pretty simple yet still sophisticated. The comforter is a little lighter weight than I hoped for, but still warm.
As much as I like this set, I'm taking it back to the store today, because it is dry-clean only and costs as much to clean as I paid for it!"

"As others have stated the Cal King Comforter is too short, which I really do not mind. I am returning this item due to the fact that the comforter fabric is very much like a sheet, and since it is plain white on more than 1/2, it will quickly absorb any spills, and they will show.It is Dry Clean only and I thought I might be able to wash on gentle, but since there is no quilting (The batting is not secure, it only has a few stitches to hold it in place) done on this quilt it has to be dry cleaned, so putting in a washer on gentle will not work. I love the stitching, it is pretty, but not a "Macy's" quality item."

"I am very disappointed with the strings and pulls that I have found on each piece. I was expecting the quality to be a bit better however, I love the colors and pattern and have gotten compliments on the set anyway. Not too thrilled with having to dry clean instead of wash but with the embroidery looking as though it will fall apart it's probably best to dry clean."

"Reviews were so helpful in my purchases decision. Thanks to all! That said, I am pretty happy overall with this set. This set IS gorgeous, and the embroidery is crisp and elegant. It is indeed soft to the touch and really dresses up my guest room. The descriptions of deep burgundy and chocolate colors in the embroidery are accurate. As mentioned by another reviewer, this will pick up lint and such (it's a matte cotton, not a shiny or slick finish) so you will want to limit pet contact. But for my purposes (guest room) it's a great choice. Love the total look, and the Euro shams are a nice touch. I found 24x24 decorative pillows at a discount store (cheap!). I picked the ugliest ones since they won't be seen and they filled the Euro shams perfectly! The only drawback to the comforter is that the filling is lumpy and not even throughout. It seems it had settled and bunched up on the sides and corners. Had the manufacturer only attended to this one detail, it would be a 5 star set. But overall a good value for the price I paid and I love it in my guest room. I recommend this but with a condition-if this set sees a lot of use, the filling may not stand the test of time. It might serve best in a guest room that sees infrequent use. You will appreciate its beauty & elegance."

"I love the touch of elegance with a modern edge. The embroidery has bold colors and it’s not too “girly”. I experienced issues with the queen size comforter because it’s too short in length for my Tempur-Pedic mattress. Keep in mind that this comforter set requires dry cleaning only. Other than that, I have no complaints. It's sophisticated and sexy, just the way I like it."

"I got this because it is an amazing looking set online, and it was just the same in person. The burgundy looks more brown in the photo, but it is a true rich burgundy color. I am returning this product ONLY because it is dry clean only. One thing I overlooked when purchasing. I wish it was machine washable, so I could keep it!!"
