"These boots are not only good looking but they're somewhat comfortable too (for their heel height). They're very stylish and look great on, the heel height is a bit high, but doesn't seem that different from the other 3 1/2 inch heels that I have. I would highly recommend these boots if you're looking for style and comfort (mostly style)."

"I have big calfs so I was afraid they wouldn't fit. They fit a little snug but I can still fit my skinny jeans in them and after walking around they did not feel snug anymore. I have a really hard time finding jeans that fit. They are really comfortable I can walk around in them for awhile not like my Jessica Simpson Tulip boots. I got them on sale and overall I am really happy about them. I defintly recommend."

Heal Cap Warning,December 27, 2009

"I've been shopping for a new pair of boots for two years with no luck. When I saw these online, I knew I had a home run, so I told my husband that I wanted them for Christmas. I wore them to my parents and was walking on carpet through their living room when I heard a loud "snap" sound, I turned around to see what I had stepped on and noticed a little black item on the floor. When I reached down to pick it up I discovered that it was the heal cap from my boot. I was devastated - I had only had them on for two hours. I knew then that they had to be returned. I didn't notice in the reviews that this had happened to anyone else so I may reorder thinking that this was just a fluke."

"So it's the day after Christmas 09, and I really don't enjoy the crowds. However, I had to make a shoe return bc the booties I ordered did not fit. Didn't see them in the store, and the nearest pair was in New York! So I'm browsing the shoe dept and laid my eyes on these! OMG! I fell in love. Tried them on and they were super comfortable. I do not have what I consider small calves and these zipped right up OVER my jeans. Back home now, and just tried them on my bare legs, and they still fit perfect! The rugged platform not only adds style, but stability as well. These really don't feel like your typical 4-inch heels.
Between the Macy's sale and another coupon (plus my exchange), I got a GREAT DEAL on these! Will be wearing them to church tomorrow."

"I love them! I was worried about the height, but they are extremely comfortable. My only negative is that I tried them on at the store and they were not on sale, but I came home and ordered them on sale online. I would have loved to have them the day I found them, but I had to wait for delivery. Oh well, I still love them."

"I usually love guess shoes and boots, and when I saw these online, I was so excited, they're edgy, sexy (in my opinion), but when I tried them on, the calves area was too big :( it was too obvious, so I ended up returning them. Like the other reviewers mentioned, if you have muscular calves, buy this boot. I still love guess shoes! :)"

"I wanted to love these boots. I ordered them online, thus didn’t know the exact fit till I received them. As a previous reviewer commented, the boots are way too big at the opening...so much so that I can’t even wear these under my jeans as I had hoped. They fit kind of the same as rainboots would...oversized, not the fit i look for in a boot. Because the ill fit cant even be hidden under pants, I am forced to return these. I love everything else about these boots besides the fit of the calf. If you have bigger sized calves these are probably great for you. I have a fairly muscular/toned build, so my calves aren’t stick thin, so I’m not quite sure who these would fit properly. So unfortunately these are getting returned and my search will continue…"

"Saw these online for a reasonable price and decided to order. The quality is great! I love the round toe, the heel height, platform and the chunky, tread-like soles! The soles really give this boot and edgy look! It's a sturdy boot that does not cramp your foot in the very least! HOWEVER, I just wish I could find a boot that is fitted all the way throughout the calf. Mine gape right at the opening and in my opinion, I think this ruins the overall look. I'm 5'1" and I don't think I have skinny legs for my height. But, I cannot find anything out there that is knee height and fitted. I love the style of this boot though so much that I'm willling to just overlook this one issue and keep the boots."

"I initialy went to Macy's Shoe Dept. to get a similar boot that was less expensive when this "Bowler' caught my eye, and I decided to try on both and the comparison was huge. I have a narrow foot and my first choice boot was loose fitting and did not fit well at all, but when I put on the "Bowler" boot it was perfect. It gives a lot of support, it was snug enough for my narrow foot (not that it necessarily runs narrow), and had some good arch support. Arch support is very important for posture helping to alleviate back issues. I love a good leather stylish boot! I give this boot two "thumbs up"!!!"

"I fell in love with these boots the minute I laid my eyes on them. The platform, along with the buckle, and zippers drew my attention to them immediately. And, lets not forget the heal that screams out appeal. I love the soft leather material that is used. If you have small calves, these may not be the boots for you. I am one of those people who have small calves, but I could not resist not having these boots. I am someone who does not wear heels on a regular. These boots are so comfortable that I am willing to wear them more often than my flats. For anyone who is looking for comfort and appeal, these boots are a must have."

"I walked into Macy's looking for some black boots and grabbed about 7 pair to try on. I purchased these because of all the boots they were the most comfortable, had great shape on the leg, the leather was soft, they fit my calf with ease and looked sexy! I wore these on a date with a dress and leggings and looked great. I later wore them with skinny jeans (tucked in) and to work with really long black pants. These boots are very versatile and my date liked them too! ;-) They wear really well in that the platform and stacked heel provides comfort that have allowed me to wear them all day without any problems."

"I absolutely love these boots! I'd been wanting them since I first laid eyes on them! What I like best, is that they are not as high as they appear!. I mean they are, but the platform built into the front of the boot works to add hight with the heel--so your feet are not as arched, and the pressure is less. Who would have thought! Aside from that, they're great for work and play!"

"I have a hard time buying boots because my calves are very long, slightly muscular but not huge (13.5 inches). I bought these on a whim, needing some boots to take to Aspen. I read the other reviews and figured what the heck. I am a spoiled rotten BeBe shoe owner, and use to 5" platform shoes that give me support and are sexy. These boots make a statement! You can wear them under your jeans or with your skinny jeans tucked inside. You can wear them with black pants, and/or skirts. My only concern is they were still a little large around my calves so that flop a little; however, the compliments offset my irritation, this is why I gave a 4 vs 5 star. The only other thing that bugs me is the double zippers on the exterior (they are for looks only ladies) jingle when you walk, with becomes annoying if you are in a quiet room or office building because everybody hears you coming.
Overall, I'd buy these again and would love them in brown!!!"
