"My daughter wears an 8 or a 10 and I ordered it in a 10 since some reviewers stated it ran small. This was obviously too big for her, but when I tried it on it fit perfectly (I wear a petite 2 to 4). Maybe the sizes aren't consistent and it should be tried on in the store. It is a very pretty dress, so we may try it in a smaller size for my dtr. Now I'm just trying to decide if I want to keep it. (:"

It's a little on the short side for her but I am glad she offered to wear the black shorts underneath it for her concert performance! She decided to get silver flats to go with it. "I am 49 and probably a bit more conservative than some of the other buyers. I always consider the age appropriatness, material, quality & price. I was very relluctant to buy this dress for my 10 year old daughter (58 inches tall, 73 lbs, she isn't slim but has a slimmer build). However, I can clearly understand... why reviewers sd it runs small. If my daughter had any type of curves... she would need to go up a size, which could cause an issue around the top of the dress. However, after reading the reviews... i felt the dresses would work. The reviews were right on. Both my daughter and I simply LOVE the dresses. Very femanine and lady like. She loves the movement of the dress & great length."

"My daughter who is almost 9 picked this dress out for herself. She loved it so much I ordered it in both the black and white. She was just as pleased when they arrived. She wears a 12 and is slim to average build. The top front gapped a bit, she was uncomfortable and kept trying to cover herself with her sweater so I shortened the straps and it is a love dress. The white is somewhat see through from the back not the front. I just make sure she has white underwear and she is fine, or if you have a half slip that would work too."
