"This tea kettle is advertised as 18/10 stainless on the Macy's web site, but this is only on the handle and the spout. Clearly I was expecting the outside to be porcelain enamel since that is how the product appears in the picture. But when I opened it and looked inside it was definitely not stainless. I called Kitchenaid and they said the teapot is made of carbon steel alloy with an interior of silicon polyester. Like I said, not sure I am going to keep this. I was expecting 18/10 stainless."

Heats Up Quick

"I gave this kettle to my dad as a gift. He says it heats up a whole kettle of water quickly. He's pleased with it, but when it arrived it was extremely dirty! There was dust all over the kettle and the box was ripped and poorly taped back together. I was disappointed how the product arrived, but my dad seems happy and that's all that matters."

"The Kettle is adorable (in red) and heats water very quickly. I would have given it a 4-5 stars except for one thing. The way the kettle is designed, it's hard to get all the water out. You have to really tilt (more than 90 degree) to get the last of the water out so it's hard to clean/dry out and I have to heat up extra water to make sure I have enough. So, 3 star.

Aside that, the whistle works well and it does it's job well. :)"

"I love the look of this tea kettle, but mine doesn't whistle; it dribbles down from the spout onto the stove. There is something wrong with the seal. I will have to return it."
