"My husband and I purchased this waffle maker a few weeks ago and have used it several times since then. It works really well. There are no issues with the lid closing. It cooks everything just right. We also spray a little Pam on so it wont stick. Also the clean up is a breez."

"My husband is the waffle chef in our family, he has purchased four of five waffle makers over the years and not been truly satisfied with the results of any of them. We purchased Bell Cucina as a "lets give it one more try" idea. And we are both well pleased with the results. The waffles cook on both sides evenly and quickly. Clean up is relatively easy. We have only used it ten or so times but it is working quite well for us. Very happy to have it, it appears our search for the right waffle maker is over."

"We don't cook waffles often so I didn't want an expensive model. The plates are no-stick so just a little cooking spray each time works great. Wipe with a paper towel after use. Read the hints about how to know when waffles are done--it's fool-proof. Most recipes (in cookbooks, on baking mixes, etc.) make two nice big Belgian-type waffles. Yes, it would be nice if the plates were removable but for the money, this is a wonderful bargain! I have had this product for more than a year and just bought one as a gift."

"I read the reviews before buying this waffle maker and decided to give it a try. It was a big disappointment! The top did not seal right - I used less batter than recommended to make sure it was not overflowing. The manual did not have a basic recipe to my surprise, and the waffles didn't turn out good. Returned the next day. I got a rotating Oster waffle maker for half the price of this one and it's excellent."

"Great waffle maker for the price. I have made perfect waffles since day 1. Makes soft or toasty waffles based on preference. Just set it and make it! "I bought this waffler on sale for just under $30 two months ago and it works wonderfully for the price. I highly suggest reading the tips in the booklet to get started-I did just that and have made perfect waffles from day one. I spray the waffle maker each time with PAM, use 3/4 cups of batter per waffle (spread it around evenly with a spatula) and I have never had any overflow to clean up. The ONLY downside is that the plates are not removable, however, I just use a paper towel to clean in between the grates-a total of 5 minutes. I looked at the next model up priced at $80 and it was a bit more sturdy, but other than that, there was no difference. This product is an excellent deal."

"I love this waffle iron. It takes a few waffles to get the hang of making them but once done it's great. My Husband thinks I am the bees knees for preparing them for him. Nothing to it with this iron ( I do use non stick spray even though the directions do not encourage it, it does keep the waffles from sticking, I just wipe it down really well before storing)"

"I've had this waffle maker for 2 months and I've used it a few times. Getting started was REALLY easy. I practically made waffles as soon as I took the waffle maker out of the box. The waffles came out fluffy with a crispy exterior, though you can adjust the settings to your preference. My ONLY problem with this waffle maker AND the reason I didn't give it a 5 is because at clean-up time I was disappointed. The cooking plates are NOT removable; this made cleaning up difficult. I like to remove all the oil in between the grooves; this was very hard to do, especially with the top plate. Also, if anything sticks to the plates or if you over-fill the plates with batter, cleaning becomes a bigger inconvenience. This was my only complaint, though I think it's a great waffle maker for the price."

"No regrets with this model. My 13 year old son and I made waffles last night for the first time and they turned out perfect; waffles came out thick, brown and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. He woke up and wanted more waffles, and again, they came out perfect. Easy to use, easy to clean, and waffles are fluffy and flavorful. Also, it's lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of space. I highly recommend!"

"I got this waffle iron for christmas and it made great waffles at first. I absolutely love belgian waffles and have searched long and far for a waffle iron at home that can make the similar quality waffles that you can get at hotel brunches etc. It worked great for the first few tries (I doubt I used it more than 8 times)...however, unfortunately one half of the waffle iron seems defected as the waffles now stick. I thought I didn't use enough oil, but I've tried many different approaches and that same one side always completely sticks (splitting the waffle in half...stuck to top and bottom)which makes for impossible clean up. I'm really disappointed, because it didn't last long at all. I'm considering the waring pro and hoping the heating issues have been fixed."

"I bought this because my 7 year old grandson like's waffle's, I find the bottom to be a little hard to clean, but as far as a waffle maker goes, it is the best One I have ever owned makes perfect waffle's every time. "The Bella Cucina Waffle maker so far is great!!! This is my first one and made perfect waffles. The waffles were fluffy and came out like the professionals (golden brown). I bought it at a great sale price but regular price is about 10 dollars cheaper than other retailers w/same item. Do not overflow with batter. There will be some smoke the first three trys but will not taste smokey (at least mine did not). Plan to buy a second one soon. I am enjoying this product so far (about a month now) and hope others do as well."
