LOVE THE 5 QUART POT

June 3, 2011
"I WOULD GIVE IT A 5 STAR EXCEPT THAT THE INSIDE HAS STAINED AND I CANNOT GET IT OUT. IT COOKS VERY WELL AND I USE IT ALOT. I BOUGHT THE YELLOW ONE BECAUSE MY KITCHEN IS YELLOW. IT HAS A VERY SMALL CHIP ON THE INSIDE TOP OF THE POT. I HAVE A NEW CERMIC TOP STOVE AND IT WORKS VERY WELL ON IT AND IN THE OVEN ALSO. SO I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN. I BOUGHT IT ON SALE AND I THINK IT IS A VERY GOOD DEAL."

Love it

May 19, 2011
"The 7 qt was given to me as a gift and I love it. Be careful if you have quartz countertops, I too have a chipped handle. I do not put it in the dishwasher. It's my first choice for preparing almost everything. Love the red color!"

martha Stewart enamel cookware

May 9, 2011
"I got my cookware for Christmas and have had no problems with mine. I use them almost 4 times a week. I love them I am searching to get 2 more for my parents for Christmas this year. Great coating easy to clean and look great on the stove oven or on the table."

Chips immediately

April 23, 2011
"I bought the 7 quart for a friend. After the first use, the handles began to chip.
Obviously, they are inexpensive when compared to Le Crueset or Staub, but the old adage is true- you get what you pay for!

"I purchased the white colored Martha Stewart enameled cast iron dutch oven when it was on closeout for 39.99 and I have to say what a deal! I get so much usage out of this thing and it is amazing, I can't imagine paying hundreds for Le Creuset (at this point in time, anyway)."

Love It

March 27, 2011
"I got my pot for a great price. I use it once a week and I hand wash. My pot has not chipped. There is one tiny dot in the bottom but that does not bother me. I chose the red color and I get compliments when people come over. Love it."

poor quality

March 16, 2011
"I bought this deeply discounted, so I did not mind when it chipped at the handle after the first use. But after another use, the enamel on the inside started to dissipate. I kept it for a while on my counter but after a few months I decided that no discount is worth keeping this. I sent it back (even though they charged me for return shipping) and ordered myself a Creuset instead. I think the quality of these pots is so low, that Macys should not sell them at all."

Enamel Chips Making This Product Useless

March 8, 2011
"I have also had the enamel chip on my Martha Stewart Dutch Oven. I had only used this product 2 times before and while warming some oil I heard a loud POP and looked inside to see a hole about the size of a silver dollar in the white enamel on the inside. I did some research online and had no problem finding other customers with this same problem.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!"

Great in size, not in chipping

"Like everyone else I too have chipping. I've been using this pot weekly since July 2010 (it is now March 2011) and around December it started to chip on the handles and under (but thankfully not inside the pot) I still continue to use the pot, but the chipping does drive me insane. And also, the inside as begun to discolor a bit.
If you are thinking of buying this pot instead of le creuset, please reconsider, while this is an alternative, it is not a replacement. My Le Creuset pots never chip. While they are quite a bit more expensive, if you are considering one or the other, always choose le creuset. Your children and grandchildren will benefit from that decision long after you're gone. Don't think I can say the same for the MS."

Don't buy, they chip and Macy's doesn't replace

March 4, 2011
"I purchased a 7qt. Martha Stewart enameled cast iron pot approximately 1 year ago. I loved it at first, but within two months the enamel chipped on the handles, despite my careful handling and hand-washing. I asked Macy's to replace it, they wouldn't, they suggested I buy the more expensive Le Creuset pot if I wanted one that wouldn't chip. Within another couple of months there were additional chips in the pot's lip area, and stress cracks formed inside the pot itself. You would think they would stand by one of their celebrity endorsed products. No such luck. Buy at your own risk."

A Must-Have For Your Kitchen!

February 1, 2011
"This has quickly become my favorite cookware. Owned now for over a year, I have seen none of the wear and tear mentioned in other reviews. Handwashed only, my piece has yet to disappoint. The even, fast cooking will surprise you! I'm not sure why, but everything tastes better when made in this cast iron dutch oven.
A very heavy, very sturdy, beautiful piece from oven or range to table, you will search for excuses to use it over and over again! The perfect addition to your kitchen and the perfect gift for anyone who needs to cook!

Chili pot has little chips, big chip!

January 24, 2011
"I was very careful about not banging the pan around or using sharp utensils. But it started with a little chipping around the outside that I could live with. Now there's a big chip in the bottom of the pot and I'm afraid to use it.
Have had it a year and didn't use it very often.

THINK TWICE

January 18, 2011
"As much as love the way Martha Stewart's cookware cooks foods, I have to say that I'm terribly disappointed in the quality of what she puts out. It chips the first time it is used. If you are looking for looks and cooking comments, I would say that it cooks well, but be very prepared for the cheap exterior to wear off very easily. Make your choices, but think twice about what you want."

Conflicting Product Information

January 3, 2011
"Information on the OUTSIDE box indicates that the cookware is radiant, electric, and gas safe, however the helpful tips INSIDE the box indicate that the product is NOT stovetop safe. Which is it Martha? Can I use it on a stovetop or not?"

Beware - Shoddy Craftsmanship

January 3, 2011
"I purchased the 2.75 qt Dutch oven in Teal from Macy's the day after Christmas for a bargain. I thought this was a great deal since I'd been looking for a deeper 2.5-3 qt Dutch oven for smaller batches of stews and braises and was not ready for fork out 5-10x as much for another brand.
After just one use, I noticed that a part of the enamel on the lid had chipped AND I had significant rusting on the lid and parts of the oven itself. Enameled cast iron should withstand normal wear and tear and these flaws in the construction of the Martha Stewart line are seriously unacceptable.
I own other pieces of enameled cast iron from 2 other major manufacturers and have not seen anything remotely like this happening to the enamel. I will bite the bullet and purchase something else to suit my need. Never again, Martha Stewart!"
