"Although the item looked beautiful in the store, it is not for daily use. Both the backing on the comforter and the sheets beaded up very quickly after purchase. The batting inside the comforter eventualy began to clump up in spots. I would suggest this item for viewing/decorative purposes only. Definitely not for long term use."

"My husband and I never have the same taste in anything, but when we walked into Macy's and saw this, we both loved it immediately. "I love the colors, the sheets are very uncomfortable they are very cheap beads up and irritaing especially after they are washed. The comforter inside lining balls up inside the fabric stiched material. I ordered 2 kings sets so that I could have this style for a while. I ordered the extra 3pc pillows on line the center button pop off. I had to have them sew back on I could'nt reorder the pillows because now they are no longer in stock. I am going to keep the sets and deal with it. I have got 4 bedrooms I change out each room 3 times a year. I will not purchase CANNON CREST BRAND ANY MORE. I hope this will help future customers."

"I really like this bedroom set however, when I opened it up there was one pillowcase missing from the sheet set. I added a set of brown sheer curtains to go in the middle of the blue curtains and it really sets off the windows and gives me more privacy."

"First off, let me say I did my research before making my purchase. Therefore, I KNOWINGLY bought this product with the following in mind (based on past reviews):
1. The durability of the embroidery has a bit to be desired. The comforter is dry clean only, and with frequent use the stitching details will begin to pull. Same with the embroidery on the shams.
2. The quality of the sheets is poor. They will pill.
3. The color is a bit deeper blue than shown in the picture.
With these things in mind, I still purchased this set, for the sole fact that it was so gorgeous. I was NOT looking for a bedding set that could withstand the wear and tear that comes with daily use/weight/friction. I WAS looking for a stunning ensemble that I could effortlessly throw on in case company was coming over.
Because I was expecting the aforementioned faults, I was not disappointed when the sheets began to pill after about a week of use. I prefer single-ply, higher thread count sheets anyhow and was not planning on using these sheets for the long run. I instead bought a set of taupe/beige sheets and they match the comforter, shams, and window treatments wonderfully. Because I am aware of how delicate the embroidery is, I have taken special care not to be rough with it. Keep in mind I did not buy this comforter for sleeping purposes. So far everything has held up great. The deeper blue (though it is not greenish like others have said), looks wonderful with my dark cherry bedroom set. The window treatments look fantastic after being ironed.
All in all, I gave this four stars because I feel that the sheets were a bit of a waste. They should have either included higher quality sheets, or left them out altogether, because they are pretty useless. I would not recommend this set for every day use. However, it is far too gorgeous, and when on sale, the price is too right to pass up. If you know what to expect ahead of time, you will not be disappointed."

"The overall appearance was nice but the quality was much less than expected. The comforter is dry clean only. I ended up purchasing this bed-in-a bag that had been returned by someone else with a dirty spot on the comforter and a washcloth rolled up into the sheets. The sheets were terribly pilled. It appears that the returnee washed and dried the sheets prior to returning the set. It was a little disgusting to say the least. Macy's needs to have their employees go through returned items like this. It was a waste of my time."

"Being a design consultant for a number of years I am very picky when I shop for my own home. I am very "hands on". I recently moved to upstate NY and resources are somewhat limited. With guests coming I got on the Macy's website and chose two "bed in a bag" sets....I am not one to "match" anything and prefer to build my own sets, but time was of the essence. I placed the order on a Saturday and received the complete order on Tuesday (I ordered additional sheets, pillows and guest robes) I have to say that the quality was much better than I expected. The "blue" is more of a seaglass color more blue than green, not turquoise or green as others have described it. Guest room came together in a snap and overall am very happy with my whole Macy's experience. The only thing I was not thrilled with is the fabric the comforter is made of...it's a little "slippery"...but couldn't ask for more for the price 169.99. I also ordered the Maxwell bed in a bag....LOVE IT"

"I've admired this comforter set since October 2008. I finally caught it on sale and HAD to have it!!! This comforter set is absolutely GORGEOUS in my bedroom. Even my husband LOVES it! The only thing I noticed, which wasn't a big deal, is the top sheet is rather wide. I got tired of tucking it underneath the mattress so that it wouldn't hang beyond the comforter. Finally, I pulled out my sewing machine, cut it, and rehemmed the sheet. I have an extra set of curtains b/c I only have one window. This is a great comforter set that has completely transformed my bedroom!!"

"I bought the 24 piece King size for $112.00 in store during the Friends and family event. It was worth it. It looks so elegant in my room. Haven't washed it yet so I can't tell what it will look/feel like. Maybe I'll just dry clean. Sometimes the material from sheet set & pillows makes a bit of swooshing sounds when you move about , but apart from that its a beautiful set. Well worth the money i paid."
