"I love this mirror. I use the brightest light setting. It takes me less time to do my eye make up now because I use the magnifying side of the mirror and the light is bright. I love the way you just have to touch the base to turn it off and on instead of using a switch. I wish I had bought this mirror years ago. I would definately recommend this mirror."

"My daughter got this for me and it is the best present I have ever had. I am in my 60's and do not see as well as I used to. I was amazed at how often I must have gone out with my makeup less than its best.

"I almost didn't buy this mirror after reading the other reviews. I have looked all over for a mirror so that I could apply makeup without my glasses. With other mirrors I could only see one eye or a portion of my face at a time. With this mirror, I can see my entire face and still see the details of my eyelashes to put on mascara. I love the touch control and the light is certainly bright enough even on low. I am so glad I purchased it."

"A clever idea, designing this mirror without an on/off switch. Simply touch the base of the mirror with your fingertip to progressively make the light brighter. Although you can choose from three settings, as a practical matter, I personally can only imagine using the brightest of the three settings as the "low" and "medium" settings aren't bright enough for everyday eyebrow tweezing and other close up work. The mirror itself is large enough (and a bit larger than some others I've seen) and having two sides - one with no magnification (1X) and one with a 7X side - provides options. The 8.5" diameter mirror itself seems well made. I like the fact that the bulb inside can be changed if/when it burns out - something I can't say for all of the mirrors I found in a variety of stores. For me, this is one component of a vanity desktop setup with three mirrors altogether - a large tabletop mirror and a 10X mirror completing the trio. (They don't use the word "vanity" for no reason!). My only complaint with this product is that accidentally touching the base with your hand, your forearm, or even your elbow will accidentally change the light setting - or turn off the light altogether - so I've found myself frequently having to tap on the base again to get the light back on. Not the worse inconvenience to deal with since the light goes on instantly, but something I would have designed differently if I were the engineer at the factory. The trade-off in your favor is not having an on/off switch to deal with which (1) can only break on you over time, and (2) would be visually distracting from the clean lines and visual aesthetic this product offers. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others based on the mirror size, double-sided feature, and natural lighting of the bulb which is easy to get close to."
