"I am a big tea drinker and so is my daughter. This is a great way for both my daughter to make exactly what type of tea we want at the perfect temperature for us since you can set it differently for each person. The cup sizing makes it easy for me to fill my large mug each time and my daughter her smaller cup. I have been very happy with the consistent results when using this."

"My sister bought a Keurig B70 Coffee Maker, Single Serve Platinum 2 years ago and loves hers.
My mom wanted one for Christmas so we got one for her and she loves hers.
I bought both my daughter and son's family one for Christmas,
and of course they love theirs.
My sister ask if I had gotten one yet and I was not sure I would need one. ( my family doesn't drink coffee).
I went ahead and got one with tea and coca k cups. It's a hit and all my guest like to pick and choose and make their own cups of coffee, tea, cider, mocha, well you get the idea.
I love it and really it was the best purchase I have made for my kitchen appliances. Fun, fun, fun."

"This Keurig model has been working out just fine, the coffee prepares smoothly each time. To avoid the word "PRIME" on the LCD screen make sure that the water reservoir is cleaned out periodically and the needles are kept cleaned. The product arrived in a timely manner without any problems."

Great Product, But Only Good Coffee

"It works great, but the coffee is really not as good as fresh brewed. Guess that is no surprise. However, early in the morning, it is wonderful to just push a button and VOILA! hot coffee...and you do not even have to clean the grinder and coffeemaker. It is also great when friends stopover or you just need a quick fix. Alas! Everything in life has its trade-offs. I would recommend it, tho."

"This is amazing for our family! I have a condition called Interstitial cystitis and cannot drink regular teas and coffees. My husband loves his coffee but its such a waste to make a pot since he is the only one that drinks it. With this brewer he can have his cup of coffee and I can have my "special" teas and coffees too! It also makes it so convenient for us and there is so little clean up that it simplifies our lives a bit. With two teenage boys in multiple sports and both of us working full time jobs, anything that makes life easy gets an A+ in my book!"

"I bought this machine about 8 months ago. It has stopped working during the descaling process. I have ran vinegar thru the system twice a month as advised and now the machine is not working. I have contacted Keurig and they have been no help. I have read all the reviews and I am not sure why nothing has been done about the issue. I have reviewed other named brands and they seem to have the same issue. Great product while it works but doesn't seem to work for very long."

"...unit (2nd Platinum series), because like the rest, mine too have always died during the descaling process; i.e., where the pump will no longer draw or expel water (vinegar), where only the largest size is only displayed, where I’m unable to navigate between cup sizes, and where the unit won’t complete the cycle! Although I have always taken extremely good care of my units and have religiously descaled them every two months or so, all have lasted for only about 1.5 years maximum. Heck, I have other (non-K-cup) regular coffee makers that are two decades old, yet still work just fine.

The last one, which will now be replaced by Keurig at a reduced 'post warranty' price, has actually lasted less than a year. Sure, I had purchased it from Macys in 2010, but I had only removed it from its original retail carton and had only begun to use it this past May... after its predecessor had also died during its last and final descaling process. I have since learned to always keep a new spare unit available ’at the ready’.

Although I haven't had the best of luck with any of the models I've owned (and I've owned all of them), all of my friends and relatives have become Keurig converts anyway. This is because they have enjoyed each fresh cup of coffee which my Keurig units have produced, as well as the huge selection of various coffees, teas, and other types of K-cup beverages available.

I just hope that Keurig will finally address the descaling issues with all of their brewer systems which the majority of their system owners always appear to be experiencing. If this fifth unit does not last, then I have already resigned myself to purchase a replacement K-cup brewer unit by a different maker from Macys."

"Anyone else heard of returns due to problems? Temperature was just OK, not hot enough for some people. Can't make espresso for real cappuccinos and lattes. And doesn't tea really need to be steeped? If you don't need 50 types of crazy flavors, there isn't much point. Even a decent standard drip brewer is a considerable and less costly alternative?"

"Well, like people say if you dont' have trouble with this coffee maker it's great. But I recently bought this model to replace my other one which completely stopped working. I guess like most small appliances today they just are not meant to last more than 1 - 2 years. I still like the idea of making one cup at a time because I dislike a pot of coffee sitting and getting stale. Coffee is way too expensive to waste and with this method you don't have any waste."

"I was a skeptic at first & it actually sat in the box for about 3 months since I wasn't quite sold on spending so much for a coffee maker. However, ever since I took my Keurig coffee maker out of the box I've been using it every day and most weekends I end up making at least 3 cups of coffee with it. I never thought I would continue to buy the K-cups either but just purchased 6 more boxes in the past week. Definitely a great purchase & would highly recommend this for a wedding gift or as a treat for yourself."
