Very disappointed!,January 28, 2010

"First of all, let me say that I love Macys and have always left great reviews. Until now that is. My husband ordered this mattress for me before Christmas as a surprise. I was so excited as our other mattress had seen its better days. I had told him that I wanted a pillow top because of the reviews I had read. I like a little softness and not a firm feel. Boy was I disappointed when I slept on this mattress. At first I felt that I just had to get use to it but, after a few nights, I wanted my old worn out mattress back. I have not had a good nights sleep since before Christmas as I wake up every hour on the hour with my back aching terribly. The pillow top has already sunk in where my body fits. It is so uncomfortable I am miserable. It feels like I'm sleeping in a big hole. I am 5'2" and weigh 115 lbs. I wouldn't think my small frame would leave a big sink hole like it does. Being a senior I wanted to finally get a good nights sleep, but I would sleep better on the floor. I set an appointment for a tech to come and check it out. Don't know what to expect, but I'm hoping Macys follow through with their fantastic service as usual."

"This is the 2nd time that I have purchased this bed. I lost my first one in a flood, and I had to have the exact same bed. This bed is so comfortable, it's set up high so it looks great. It is firm yet soft at the same time, you will have the best sleep in this "Macy Bed". Delivery was great too, they even changed my railings out for me, they were so fast and really nice."

"We are looking to replace this mattress now and we have owned it for apx a year and half. Be aware the plush top seems to sink as you sleep on it and doesnt come back up. Our mattress looks like a mountain inbetween two valleys now. Very uncomfortable."

"I went into the store to test the mattress out as I was a little apprehensive about purchasing online without testing it first.The mattress is very soft but not too soft as it has plenty of support. Shipping was on time and they set everything up for me. I brought this with the standard box spring and I fill like a queen sleeping on a cloud. So if you don't want a high bed go for the low profile box spring. All in all including the $70 shipping I paid 654.00 for a queen set."

"I recently got this bed during the Macy's 1 day sale! I got extended warranty mattress pad that bumped up my warranty to 10 years! It was only an extra $50 or so and the associate assured me that if anything was to happen (i.e. spills, rips, etc) I was covered! And if Macy's couldn't fix it or remove the stain they would replace my bad for free! I thought this was an excellent policy. The bed is a great find for the price! If you are looking for quality at a great price like me, this is a good choice. Delivery was on time and very efficient."

Great , if you love REALLY soft,September 12, 2008

"Let me preface this review by saying I've only slept on it a single night, but as they say, you can tell if mattress is right for you in about 15 to 20 minutes or so. This mattress is super soft...the pillow top is like sleeping on a giant marshmellow!, so if you love a very soft top, you'll like this mattress. It is superbly constructed, as you would expect from a Serta. I'm finding that sleeping closer towards the edge of the bed tends to 'tilt' your body a bit towards the center somewhat. I had it it my mind, that a perfect mattress would have the nice, soft pillow top , yet still have a degree of rigidity from the mattress itself for support. This mattress does not have that rigidity I need....It is SO soft and spongy feeling, that I never felt comfortable all night. I'm a side sleeper and tend to change positions quite a bit and without that rigidity, rolling over makes it harder to go back to sleep. It may be that a pillow top just isn't for me. One thing to note, although it's not mentioned on the description of the mattresses, Macys rates their mattresses on a scale from 1 to 5 for firmness, 1 being the firmness. I was told this mattress is a 4, so it looks like I'll be searching for something with a lower number. So again, although I'm personally giving the mattress a lower rating, if your wanting a super soft mattress , it is exceptional."
