"I love the set overall, and bought this thinking it was at least going to be midsized - it's only slightly taller and slightly wider than an individual fruit bowl. My issue is only with their use of the word "LARGE". Having said that, I initially ordered one and just now ordered a second one, because it will make a lovely cozy bowl to have oatmeal out of in the mornings. If you are looking for a LARGE serving bowl, this rates a 1 because it's just not large enough. If you're looking for a nice tall bowl for your personal oatmeal/salads or to serve toppings or things like that, this is it, and I'd rate it a 5 for that smaller use. In other words, don't buy this thinking you will be adding a good sized vegetable serving piece - it's way too small for that, but it IS a handy size for maybe putting in things like dressings or toppings for your guests to add to other dishes. Prettier than the picture, as so often seems to be the case with this set. I wouldn't pay more than the current sale price of 17.99 for it - it's too small to warrant a higher price."

"Love these bowls, bought them to add to my 18 piece collection and will add many many more as months and years go by. These dishes make my home spring and summer all year long. Love to have company over to show them off but of course we use them all the time as well. These dishes stopped me in my tracks when I first saw them and I knew I had to have them. "I purchased these all-purpose bowls to add to my collection mainly as 'pasta' or 'stew' bowls. I will, however, use it as a serving bowl for vegetables and other side dishes. It is higher and deeper rather than like regular restaurant soup bowls that are low and wide.
