"I bought these jeans for my grandson who is so hard to please but he really liked these jeans. It is so hard for us to find jeans to fit him because he is so skinny and so tall. He is 6' 1" and ways may 110 so we have to get him a size 29 waist and 36 long. Do you know how hard these are to find? He liked them because he does not have to wear a belt and there long enough."

"I have very short legs (28-1/2" inseam). It's difficult to find pants or jeans that fit right off the shelf. The Levi 501's are one of only a handful of jeans that come with a short inseam. I'm glad to see that Macy's carries the entire range of inseams. They wear well and become increasingly comfortable the more often you wash and wear them. The Levi 501's are are probably the most durable jeans available on the market!

"By definition these are the ultimate jean, button fly, shrink to fit. If you purchase the size you wear and wash them, they fit as they are supposed to. So please wash your jeans denimnerd, especially if you wear them daily. If you want jeans that stay true to color and form from the store, don't buy cotton. Levis get better with age and they offer a lifetime guarantee. I have many jeans replaced by Levis that wore slam out."

"These jeans are decent. The fit is pretty good, not baggy and very little antifit in the back. This version of 501 is similar to the cut of the LVC 1947 but 7 times cheaper in price which is pretty good. The quality of these jeans I would rate as average to poor. I've only had them a couple of months yet they show signs of wear (loose threads, holes etc) Granted I wear them almost everyday so take that into consideration. Besides the lack of quality the only other critique I have is that they are not selvedge, but at the price point I don't expect selvedge so I guess Its not really fair to mention this. They could be a bit slimmer but overall I do like the fit. The dye they use on these is decent. I hot soaked mine for about 1 hour and only lost a little bit of color. I highly recomend to get the proper fit that one should DOWNSIZE 1 on the waist and upsize 1 on the inseam. Like all denim these stretch ALOT and if you don't DOWNSIZE on the WAIST they will be too baggy and look silly. Think James Dean not 50Cent. I also recomend not washing these for at least 6 months, and never put them in a dryer! (line dry)When you do wash them use woolite dark and hand wash taking care not to agitate too much or you will lose the rich inigo color and your jeans will look like they are from the set of Full House i.e. not cool. I rated these 4 because the fit is good (4) the quality is lacking (2)but the price is excellent(5)."

"These jeans are very stylish and durable. My teenage son's picked them out during back to school shopping, and I was surprised they didn't opt for the more popular baggy, ripped, faded jeans. They are definitely a more taylored body hugging look for a jean. They look great, and my son's are complemented every time they wear them. They have also faded nicely after the first few washes."

"I purchased these jeans for my 12 year old son for back-to-school. And he hates them! He thinks that they look like girl jeans because they have numerous buttons on the fly area. He refuses to wear them but little does he knows he has no say! lol... I, myself loves these jeans on him. I like these types of jeans because the hardly wrinkle and if you iron them great atleast one time, theres always a crease that is still visible. He doesn't really know much when it comes to fashion and usually doesn't have a problem when I pick out something for him. Overall, these are the best jeans that I have puchased on macy's for him! He's gonna have to learn to love them, because they're a keeper!!!"

"I was looking for a pair of jeans that would not look incongruous paired up with jackets. These are solidly constructed, fit and look great, both for daily wear and for business casual days--I have received many compliments since I started wearing these at the office, even with my more formal pin stripped business jackets.

"Ordered these jeans and after they shrunk, they were 6 inches too short and about 3 inches too small in the waist.
I give 5 stars because they are great jeans.
I thought "shrink to fit" would mean they would be bigger than size you ordered when you got them, but once washed would shrink down to size you ordered. This has been how other shrink to fit jeans have been. Not these."

"Solid jeans, iconic and classic. The fit is relaxed on the top and tapers to a straight leg (19 cm opening at hem for a 30 waist). Note that the shrink-to-fit types do not shrink as the instructions claim. I bought a 30 waist, didn't shrink an inch like it claims so they're a little too big in the waist. The inseam seems to shrink a good deal though, close to what the instructions say. My suggestion: buy the jeans true to your waist size, do NOT size up the waist. Also, this jeans don't shrink to a slim leg, it's more of a straight leg/slight taper. If you want something more fashion-forward, look elsewhere. Overall, pleased with the purchase - basically the only dry jeans that can be found at this price point."
