Reliable Foundation

"I have tried many foundations. I have liked some and hated some. But Intervene has been my mainstay for a couple of years. I am fair and I wear the Soft Shell. I think it looks very natural and yet gives good coverage. It does not get shiny in the middle of the day. I do use a finishing powder with it. This makeup does not break out my skin. In fact, I noticed an improvement in my skin without makeup after wearing this."

"I wear Intervene Foundation in Soft Toast, and it's become my favorite foundation. I like a "natural" look from foundation, so I need the makeup to look as much like "skin" as it can, and Intervene is just what I love. The high quality of this makeup can't be missed; on my skin it's on par with La Mer, Chanel, and Armani. Intervene Foundation has perfect coverage over discolorations, but it's not cakey, or flat, and it doesn't have weird undertones that clash with my coloring. I don't need concealer under my eyes, which is wonderful - the less layers the better. At 45, this foundation makes my skin look like it's 25 (minus the oil and acne!). If you are searching for a foundation that covers large pores, you must give this a try. Every time I apply it, I'm a little surprised at the complete transformation in my skin. It looks smooth and radiant, and it feels soft and firm. I can apply this with fingertips, or Elizabeth Arden's fun new foundation sponge, and get perfect skin every time."

"I love this. I was using an Estee Lauder foundation and they kep discontinuing the ones I loved so I had to move on. I tried the other foundation and found that it did no adhere to my particaular skin type. But this one is perfect for my normal to oily skin."

"I tried this foundation the other day and was completely disappointed. It sat on my skin and did not blend in at all. I felt like I was wearing a heavy mask of foundation and could not wait to get home and remove it. It did not allow my skin to breathe. This make up may be more suitable for theatrical purposes, but is definitely not natural looking. I noticed that most of EA's foundations are heavy feeling on the skin and not very natural looking. I would not recommend this product."

"If you're over 50, have dry skin, and lines, definitely don't purchase this. It's heavy and sits on top of your skin and accentuates all your faults. The colors are not natural.. It's like wearing some sort of mask I also don't like the odor of the product It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell good. I sent it back the same day. I don't know who these ladies are that reviewed it,but they must e blessed with flawless skin. If you don't have flawless skin, then save your money."

"This is my first time trying Elizabeth Arden's Intervene makeup SPF 15. And let me tell you- it's amazing. The color that the Macy's representative chose for me was my exact tone. I like it because it's not the type of foundation that is extremely shiny or sticky. I had not tried liquid makeup before, so I'm quite satisfied with this product. I just wish that it was a bit smaller for me to carry it in my purse, he he."

"I took a chance and ordered this without trying it first, based on other's reveiws. It really does work great! Especially if you are looking for something that covers good but isn't heavy. I really like how this does not rub off on stuff like my cell phone for example. One time I forgot to use finishing powder and was able to apply blush with no problem! This foundation makes my skin feel great, soft, and not oily in my t-zone. I just wish it came in one shade lighter."

"Love it!!! This make-up goes on smoothly and covers extremely well without being heavy. It doesn't crease or rub off. It doesn't become oily during the day. My skin is rather fair with a couple age spots and some redness around the nose and eyes. This foundation evens out my skin tone beautifully! It makes my skin look brighter and younger. I've had people comment on how nice and clear my complexion is. I highly recommend this foundation especially for us "middle aged" women who still feel young and want to look it!"

"Finally found the perfect foundation! This foundation covers small flaws and discolorations beautifully without being too heavy or "mask looking". I have dry/combination skin and it feels great all day, no dryness or heaviness. I have medium skin with a slight yellow/olive undertone and have both the Soft Beige (for everyday) and the Soft Toast for summer and nights. I definitely recommend this foundation."
