"I received four 5-piece place settings of the Lenox Federal Platinum Frost as a wedding gift, but I didn't want to spend the money to buy eight more to complete my desired twelve 5-piece place settings; so I settled for the Lenox Portola set, which was on sale, as my formal set. I'm a bit disappointed because when comparing side-by-side against the Federal, the Portola looks much more inferior. In addition, the caddy that came with the set was made of cheap wood, and the finish was not well done (rough patches of paints, splintered corners, etc). This set is ok for everyday use, but for everyday use I can get something for a fraction of the price that looks about the same with additional steak knives minus the cheap caddy. If you want top-notch flatware, this is definitely not it."

"After 15 years of the same flatware, we decided to purchase a new set. I am employed by a luxury retailer and have a position working with their products for the home. We purchased the "Portola" set, which is 18/10 stamped on the back each piece. The 18/10 is the better stainless and will last longer than the 10/10.
For the quality and design the price is outstanding but wait for a sale and exta coupons and you may get the set for $125.00. An outstanding value."

"I bought this to add to my very similar lenox set. While it is certainly beautiful and as depicted in the picture, the retail price made me think it would be of a heavier-weight quality, it was in fact lighter weight than my current set thus felt cheaper. I wouldn't pay more than $120 for this (which is what I paid)."

"Looks GREAT on the table and goes from casual to formal. Has simple but elegant pattern. High quality and well weight-balanced. Like many other brand name place settings, the soup spoons are smaller than dinner forks. Almost the soup spoons and the salad forks are both the same size. I like this proportion and I LOVE my new set. Good price on sale especially after Macy’s discount and Lenox rebate if you are a smart shopper."

"After a long time searching, my fiance and I decided that this was the set for us. I love the slender top and larger bottom. The spoons are all the right proportions, nothing too large.
