"We purchased the sofa, loveseat, chair, and ottoman when we moved into our new home. We did a lot of research both online and in person and this set was far superior to other sets we looked at. It's been over a year and we are still very happy with our decision. The furniture is comfortable, wears well, and is very easy to clean. "We purchased the sofa, loveseat, and chair about 2 years ago and have been extremely satisfied with the quality and durability of the leather. However, we are not at all happy with the quality of the foam fill, it has flattened considerably with very little use (we spend most of our time in another room) and since the cushions cannot be turned, there isn't much we can do about that. Overall, I would recommend this furniture especially for smaller room. We have gotten MANY compliments on it."

"I bought the sofa and love seat in brown. Both pieces are really well made, great quality leather. Some of the leather sofas are very slippery. You sit on them and immediately your butt slides off the couch. NOT THIS ONE. They are very very comfortable. The set looks fabulous in my living room. Also, couches are very comfortable and practical. The cushions are sewn together – so no need to worry about crumbs getting in between the cushions. What a great feature!!!!! Also, the sofa and love seat are on nice size wooden legs which allow my Roomba vacuum to get underneath with no problem – keeps everything clean."

"I just had the sofa, loveseat and ottoman delivered a couple of weeks ago, and I love it! Its a great size for a smaller room, looks classy, not bulky. The leather is so soft and very comfortable. I am so glad I decided on this set. I decided to get a fabric chair/recliner and it looks amazing, but the chair in this set is nice too, I just wanted a "pretty" recliner. No regrets on any of these pieces."

Great leather, bad cushions,September 14, 2009

"We have had this sofa and loveseat for about a year and a half. The leather remains in excellent shape and is extremely easy to clean and take care of. However, the cushions have shown very little resiliency, and are seriously deflated after just 1 1/2 years of use. While the cushions being sewn together is great for cleaning purposes, this prevents flipping or swapping out cushions to provide even wear. We have found that the two cushions on which most of our guests sit (in order to see the TV) are about half the size of the other cushions. I believe that after only 1 1/2 years of moderate use, cushions should remain in much better shape than these. If I had to make a sofa/loveseat selection again, I would not choose these."

"We bought a sofa, two chairs and an ottoman. All four pieces are beautiful and comfortable. They fit our small home perfectly.
One chair had to be replaced twice - the first was damaged in delivery and the second arrived crumpled and smelled funny. Macy's was very willing to exchange and redeliver until we were satisfied.
I'm very pleased with the purchase."

"The Umbria furniture collection has surpassed my expectations. It is so comfortable and the leather is so comfortable and very kid friendly. It gives the appearance that the cushions are separate, but they are sewn together, so escape crumbs do not creep in between cushions. I use leather wipes to keep it's nice shine & clean at the same time."

"After much shopping and research into purchasing leather furniture, I received my Umbria sofa and 2 loveseats on 1/21/09. I LOVE everything about them. They are very comfortable and very sturdy. Umbria sofa: Center Cushion Questionable,December 29, 2008

"For starters, I would like to say that I like the appearance of this couch and I like the feel of it's leather. However and maybe this is only becoming a problem with my couch or perhaps a person's weight has much to do with it. I'm 5'8" and 200 lbs. I do like to lay on my couches (my previous one was a Bassett-and no problem) for an occasional snooze. The center cushion is not as supportive as the end cushions and when laying, guess where your heavy midsection rests: center cushion. This is true when only sitting on the center cushion, too. It takes a little while to 'spring back.' I had to think that there is a possibility that cut-backs were made with the center cushion and it makes sense, given most people sit closest to either arms. Given this, I am reluctant to lay on my couch too often as I do not want a cushion that appears beat down. At least, not so soon after I had purchased it. This could be just a defect with my couch but I do recommend that you spend some time sitting in the center for awhile. Then, move to the arm. As an addition, if you are used to high arms rests (I am)-it will take some time getting used to the lower profile of the arms. All this said, this is a beautiful looking couch and the leather has a nice feel. Throw in a pair of 14-16 inch throw pillows (any bigger would be too large) and perhaps sheepskin hides on the back (if it's your thing) and you will be very pleased with the appearance. Cheers!"

"We bought this set 2 years ago and it still looks brand new. That alone would make me recommend it since I have never owned livingroom furniture that survived the daily wear and tear without showing it.
