"I had my coffee table (which I LOVE the looks of!) for 2 weeks when tomato juice was spilled and wiped up within 10 seconds. My table is permanently "etched". i.e. there is a very dull spot everwhere the juice hit the table, even the little spot splashes. There are NO care instructions with the table from Macy's or the manufacturer. We have 8 grandchildren under 10 and I would never have purchased a table that was so delicate. After googling "travertine" I found the bad news about how carefully you have to treat the stone. Get a "imitation" travertine which has a polyurethane coating on it, if you like the look!"

"i paired this end table with a sectional, leather ottoman in brown, distressed cherry wall length entertainment center, and hardwood floors.didn't want to go with another wood table and have to hope it looked okay with the existing pieces. the travertine and the metal base were just what i was looking for, it looks great! my only thought is do i have to seal the marble top?"

"We purchased these tables and paired them with the dark brown recliner & Martha Stewart cream lounger (both at Macy's) and dark wood accents .. they are perfect! We got the idea for the travertine & iron from a display at Kreiss-their tables are dramatically more expensive. We got the same look for a very fair price. The tables are exceptionally high quality and will last a lifetime."
