Frugal But High Quality,

"I'm a pretty picky shopper and I had a lot of trepidation about purchasing this chair without having seen it or tested it out, but I went ahead and bought it a few days ago and I really like it.
I purchased the dark brown and it’s quite lovely and the design is fabulous. I live in a studio downtown and it fits perfectly in that setting.
The overall quality is excellent. No tears, scratches, or rips. The frame is sturdy; it even passed the "sit on the arm" test recommended by many furniture stores. There is no wobbling.
I don't like bonded leather, and I was nervous about the leather quality on this chair because the description only stated that it was "leather". Thankfully, the chair is split leather and the tanning and hides are of very good quality – I expect that they'll last for years.
And everyone who comes over LOVES THIS CHAIR and calls it extremely comfortable.
So I highly recommend this item."

One minor detail...,

"We were shopping for recliners, and I was very excited when I read the add which offered this chair for $599. After trying other chairs, here are some pros and cons:
PROS: Nice material for the price. The color is great, and so the finish. Looks and feels sturdy
CONS: I am 5'11" and do not fit in this chair. My wife completely loved these chairs, but she knew I was not going to be happy on it :( . we were planning to use it for a couple of hours daily and the only way it could do the trick is if you put a pillow as a headrest, which I was not willing to deal with.
This is a GREAT product for the Ocassional user or visits. I did not find it comfortable for the daily use, in comparison to the other chairs.
I ended up buying the Champlain model, see that review"

"This recliner is great. I purchased it for my husband after a major remodel of our great room. He LOVES it, and so does everyone else who has the opportunity to sit in it. They all comment that the chair wraps itself around you and holds you captive! While the chair appears to be rather large, when reclined it has a relatively small footprint. The leather wears well and the reclining mechanism operates smoothly."

"We paired this recliner with a sectional & travertine tables (all from Macy's) and LOVE this chair. It's stylish and the quality is exceptional. It's very comfy, wears well and the leather is rich and elegant. What sets this recliner apart is the elegant styling and detail - it's the perfect fit for our contemporary design. On a side note, the customer service at Macy's is outstanding; if we can find it at Macy's, we buy it at Macy's. They are the gold standard."

"My husband and I recently purchased this leather recliner to match the Greyson sectional sofa (also from Macy's) and we ABSOLUTELY LOVVVVVVE it!!! The recliner comfortably supports your neck at any position whether you're sitting up reading, slightly reclined or fully reclined. I also love the foot rest area b/c there is a middle leather pad which rests under your calves. And, for us shorter women, you can prop your feet on this pad instead of on the recliner seat or sitting cross-legged. The recliner is overall a very nice leather chair, well-made, and SUPER comfortable. It's a MUST HAVE item at this clearance price!"

"I am very happy with my new recliner. I love the comtemporary style, it is very comfortable, the leather is a good quality and does not look like a recliner! I am also very happy with Macy's customer service. When I ordered this chair it was backordered four weeks. Four weeks later the chair was delivered exactly as promised. Great chair! Great customer service! Great delivery!"

"I just got my chair today and absolutely love it! I needed a comfortable reading chair for our bedroom. This is the perfect size, is very comfortable and looks great. I am thinking about buying a second one for our t.v. room. My husband loves this chair too!
I bought this from the store where it was on sale for $599. I also had an extra 10% off, so it was only $540! All the other chairs I looked at that I liked, were at least double that price!"

"When the recliner arrived I thought that it appeared smaller. When I touched it I liked the firm thick leather. When I placed a pillow in it I loved the look. When I sat in it I woke up at least fifteen minutes later. It's a comfy just for me chair. I would love to purchase another for my bedroom."

"I searched many stores for a contemporary recliner made of top quality leather before I bought this chair. The leather is very beautiful and soft, and the chair is quite comfortable. A comparable Italian leather chair would be at least twice the price in other stores. Definitely a great buy!"

Great Recliner for the Price,

"I searched for 2 years before buying this recliner. I had my heart set on one that cost twice as much from a different store but didn't want to pay that mcuh, so I searched high and low for a comfortable alternative. I sat in dozens of recliners to find one that I found both comfortable and modern with clean lines that would be timeless. This one fit that bill. When it came time to buy, I went to the Macy's homestore and sat in EVERY recliner there. I am 5'11'' tall and found this to be very comfortable for my height, even though the height of the recliner itself isn't that tall. The only drawbacks are these: (1) the leather is hard - it could be a softer leather, but this does have the advantage that it's easy to clean, and (2) the leg doesn't have an adjustable height. It's either up or it's down. There are times I wish I could put the legs up a little more without me having to lie back as much. This is a GREAT recliner for this price. I am very happy with it."
