"I have read other reviews and was surprised because have not had any problem with these towels. I got a set of 2 towels color "wave" and then went on line and ordered hand towels and wash cloths. They are soft plush and absorbent and have had no problem with lint or balling. They are beautiful and even my husband who is hard to please likes them. I love the color! We are going to purchase a couple more of the towels."

"I purchased these towels in brown at a great low price. Yet, after the first wash as directed the only started to fall apart...threads coming out and leaving little brown material all over other items in the washer. Plus when I used them again after washing, they left brown pieces all over shower and bathroom floor. Very disappointed in the purchase!"

"I bought a set of Martha Stewarts Collection towels in midnight blue. I have washed and dryed them according to directions and they continually shed little blue fibers. The blue fibers are everywhere in the bathroom, on your body in the tub and on the floor. I'm so disappointed in this Martha Stewart product and would not recommend them to anyone."

"I registered for this item in the Midnight. We've had the towels for over 3 months and despite following the care instructions, they continue to have an excessive amount of excess fibers that stay stuck on your body after a shower or bath. The color has already begun to fade. I'm so disappointed in these towels and for Martha Stewart to be selling them as one of her products. I'm sorry my wedding guests wasted their money on this item. We're going to have to replace the towels. Don't waste your money on these too."

"these towels are way expensive for what happened to them. i threw them in the wash (not all at once!) after i got home. i bought a total of 30 towels. they about clogged my dryer with the insane amout of fuzz that came off of them. i dont know if thats normal or not, i have only ever had handmedowns. but i noticed little snags in a few spots on most of the towels (see pictures)...again i dont know if that is normal for new towels. my old towels of course have some because they are OLD. but i do have to say. they are so plush and soft i dont mind the little snags at all. i sometimes just curl up on my bed with one of the bath sheets after they come out of the dryer they are so soft. they still fuzz a tiny bit in the dryer but they have only been washed about 3-4 times."

"I happen to really love these towels. I am probably one of the most picky shoppers when it comes to towels, bedding and under garments. Sometimes, I shop for towels the way that people do for cars. You look for the ideal product, want to feel the product, look for the best/bottom line price and then make your offer. I'm almost the same. I have purchased much linen in my life, this far. I am very impressed, surprised even, at the luxuriousness in feel and quality in these towel. I've purchased them in an assortment of colors, as I love to have a splash of color in my sterile white bathroom. I like the price. They are beautiful in feel. They wash easily and aren't something that I worry about becoming flat and uncomfortbly dry and itchy without having to use fabric softner."

"I bought 4 of the bath towels about 6 months ago. One of the products that I use on my face left bleach-type blotches on the towels. Funny since I did not have this problem with my old towels and the old ones are a darker color. After the first wash, one of the towels came out with pills all over it. And after about 4 months the binding on one of the towels already came apart and now I am left with frayed ends. I expected more from Martha's products."

"i bought these towels several weeks ago because they were on sale and seemed extremely soft. so far, they are great. i got them in white so i could bleach them and because the other reviews noted "spots" or discoloring after washing them. that is caused by facial washes and medicines. it notes that you shouldnt use these with the towels because of discoloring on the tags. the only complaint i have (and it is minor) is that the amount of lint i remove from the trap is worrisome. with a clean lint trap before drying, it fills it easily. this leads me to believe that over time the towels will lose their "fluff." but until then, im gonna love using them."

"I first purchased these towels only because they were on sale and came in a deep brown color which matches what I intended for my bathroom decor. After using them, I didn't really care what color I had as long as I had more. I bought some for my son to take to college with him. He tried it before he left home and loved it also. "This towel is designed with two sides. I am a specialist in the textile department of Macy's and have worked with the product since it came into the store. The outside layer that feels soft to the touch is designed for that purpose and that purpose alone. The inside of the towel feels slightly corser because of the low twist loop. The advantage to the low loop is that it makes it more absorbant. Most people do not like to trade softness for more absorbity, hence the two sided towel. As for the color discussion from some owners. 99% of the fading or spotting occurs because of hand sanitizers, lotions, facial scrubs or removers that have some type of agent in it that reacts with the dye. It wouldn't matter what towel you purchase...even the most expensive do the same thing. To avoid such an occurrance, wash separately. If you use a specific towel to clean your face...DO NOT wash it with the others...it will transfer and cause discoloration.
