"We received the Mikasa Pure Red dinner collection as wedding gifts a year ago! We love them! Some pieces arrived broken, but we were able to exchange them at the local Macy's. They are perfect for use throughout the year! They are simple and elegant. The handles of the mugs are fragile. One of the handles broke in our dishwasher. Otherwise they are dishwasher safe. Very durable."

"I was in the market to replace some old dinnerware and my husband and I fell in love with this pattern. We love the vibrant red on white pattern. I have to rave for Macy's customer service though. I am so pleased with how quickly Macy's sent the pieces I ordered. I have placed 2 orders for this dinnerware and when the 1st order was missing 2 fruit bowls I called customer service and they immediately took care of it and within days I had my 2 missing bowl. "I have many brands and styles of dinnerware. I would have to say that the Mikasa "Pure Red" dinnerware are my favorite!! I received my first set from my sister and family for our anniversary and ended up purchasing more full sets and serving dishes. They are so pretty even if they are just sitting on the shelf. I would normally recommend them to a friend, but then they would have the same dinnerware as me, although I recommend the Mikasa Brand to all as they are dishwasher and microwave safe."

"My husband and I chose Pure Red for our wedding registry. When we were looking at china, most of the fine china we saw just didn't appeal to us. It was beautiful, but just not our style--most of it was either too ornate or too simple. When we saw the Pure Red, we both loved it immediately. It's a beautiful pattern, and was simple, but not too simple. The details are amazing--flowers on the underside of the plate, inside the bowl, etc. And I love the accessories. Whether it be grandma's china that makes you feel good to use on special occasions, or a beautifully crafted and colorful piece like the Mikasa "Pure Red" collection. Every time we use these pieces, we marvel at the beauty of the pattern and yet how simple it is. We are 100% satisfied with this and it is one of our better purchases from Macys. Incidentally, when we got it home, there was a crack in one of the bowls that we bought. We took it back to a Macy's store and they exchanged it on the spot with no hassle! That's great customer service!"
