"I must say that I love the Luigi Bormioli "Michelangelo" Glassware collection. I have the highballs, the DOFs, the goblets and a couple pitchers that aren't available anymore. The collection is beautiful and great for everyday use. I've had mine for over three years and I haven't had any problem with etching. I have had some "disappear" so either they broke and my family didn't tell me or they wandered out of the house to the same place that missing forks and socks go. But other than that they are perfect."

"My family uses two of the Michelangelo styles as everyday drinking glasses. The Highball glasses make great water glasses. And the Double Old-Fashioned glasses are perfect for juice. I would suggest handwashing them or perhaps using the crystal cycle on the dishwasher. We have had issues with etching. As a sidenote - a local Italian restaurant utilizes the Highball glasses. And someone drank from one on a recent television program. They certainly are popular. The simple, clean shape works well with many table settings."
