"I have never purchased dishes before...crazy I know...but I could not be happier! Seems to be durable, makes a great presentation, and works well in the microwave as well as the dishwasher. The over sized mugs are wonderful as well. If Ican offer advice to those of you who are purchasing dishes for the first time, measure your cabinet and your dishwasher to be certain you have the space for these lovely dishes. I had to get out the owners manual for the dishwasher to learn how to lift the top rack so that the dishes would fit in the bottom rack without obstructing the spray arm. I had no idea that the size of a dish might be a issue. These are lovely and I am excited to add more colors so that I can mix and match them for different occasions."

"I bought 8 sets of these dishes in late August 2009. It is now the end of October 2009 and I believe that nearly every set is chipped or cracked in some way. Cute dishes when I bought them but they didn't stay cute for long! Do not buy these dishes - they do not wear well at all. I am now stuck with 8 sets of garbage that look awful."

"I got this set a couple of months ago and they havent chipped at all. The square shape makes for a great presentation. I find the set pieces are not as heavy as they should be for their size. The mug is little too gigantic for me and that is the only reason I dont give it 5 stars. On the other hand, its my husband new favorite mug because he gets more coffee; Venti (lol). Overall, I am really enjoy this set!"

"When I saw these dishes I knew I had to have them.I had been looking for a while for a certain look.The colors were so vibrant.So I picked two colors Butter & Brick so I could mix and match them together.I got a 17 place setting.Yes quite a large amount but I have a big family.I invited 15 people over..I was a little afraid at first because some of the reviews said that the plates chipped easy.So I was careful with them.But then I thought Okay..I'm not letting this get in my way and these dishes will be put to the task.I served food in them.I put them in the dish washer.I put them in the microwave..They stayed perfect.I love these dishes.You must never be afraid to use your dinnerware.I highly recommend this dinnerware.Its functional and oh so beautiful."

"These plates are great for everyday usage. However, if you are a person who does not like to hand wash dishes...this is not for you. I purchased two setting last year November and just recently purchased 2 more sets. My 1 year old sets are just as lovely as my new set of dishes. They are bright and exciting and make me feel special. Great buy, especially if you purchased them at the 1 Day sale on November 19th '08."

"I looked for more than a year for a set of dishes for casual dinner parties. I do not use them everyday, but whenever I put them on my glass dining table, the setting is perfect. I read the reviews and was nervous about chipping. I do not believe that I use any extra care and I have my set for 6 months and have had no problems at all. I have the pine color, service for 8 and look forward to incorporating into a beautiful family holiday table!"

"I received these dishes as a wedding gift, and I agree with many of the other reviews-- these dishes are beautiful and they make such a nice presentation on your table. However, they chip very easily, and they do not fit in the dishwasher well. I have also had a problem with moisture seeping under the glaze. Fortunately my husband and I still had an old set of dishes that we use for "everyday" and we have reserved our Espana dishes for when guests come over. That system seems to be working well-- fewer chips with less use."

"We were enchanted with the colors and patterns of these dishes. They really "light up" the dinner table. That said I agree with other purchasers that they are very heavy, difficult to place in the dishwasher (we are doing an extra load a day), and cannot rotate in the microwave. "I bought these dishes less than a year ago and they are really pretty. However, they chip so easily and are very heavy and hard to handle. If you put them in the microwave, they are extremely hot. I know I will have to replace them very soon as they do not hold up well at all and I am very disappointed as it was a big investment. Bottom line.....they are attractive but not the least bit practical."

"After less than eight months of use, I put this dinnerware away. Chips way too easily. If you own a microware with a carrosel, the dinner plates do not fit unless the tray is removed. They are big (and heavy) and do not fit well in a dishwasher. The dinner plates JUST fits in to a normal depth cupboard. Yes, these are inexpensive...but they are not worth even that. The only good thing about them would be their look on the table...although that deminishes with all the chipping. Basically, I am terrible disappointed."

"I love the way these dishes look, they are bold and fun...however They chip, are hot in the microwave and are very heavy (not good for children trying to help). I have had them for about 6 months and they are chipping, every time they go in the dishwasher or clang together. I inquired about touch up paint, but they don't make it. Overall, I would say I am going to be in the market for new dishes within the year. Bummer for such a large investment."
