Classic, elegant, timeless, and versatile.,January 24, 2007
By Sandykinsfrom Chevy Chase, MD
"This is one of the most classically beautiful china patterns available today, and I collect nearly every piece that they produce. Each piece is unique, with different bas-relief borders and centers. The serving pieces come in an amazing variety of shapes and designs. The myriad architectural and floral motifs and shapes together on the table are simply and subtly beautiful. The white of this Limoges porcelain is pure, with the merest hint of blue, like moonlight on snow. I love how this pattern goes from casual to the most formal, and it goes with all my table linens. The bakeware pieces are terrific, too. I can't imagine a better china pattern."

Still standing the test of time,November 11, 2009
By Lorraineqclfrom Campbell, CA
"I just have to say that I just love this china. We registered for it in September of 2000 when we got married and have used it everyday since it came out of the boxes. It can go from casual to elegant in no time flat. We put it in the dishwasher, the microwave. And now our children who are 4 and 5 even eat off of it. They still look as new as the day we got them. The most wonderful thing is that I will always think of our special day, everyday we use it."

Wonderful,November 11, 2009
By Epicurian1from NC
"I love this dinnerware. It is perfect in my book. We have had several different brands of dinnerware and this is by far the best. It's porcelain which means it's durable and wont crack or craze like ceramic and not quite as delicate as bone china. We use it for every day and put it in the oven and microwave with no damage. It's also a great conversation piece given the embossed designs come straight from the Louvre!"

Best of both worlds,November 29, 2008
By PetGourmetfrom New York, NY
"This is an amazing set of china - even more so if you live in an urban area without a lot of storage space. This china is elegant enough to serve holiday and 'special' dinners, but you won't feel strange eating on it on every day - eliminating the need for 2 sets of china. There are TONS of pieces you can mix and match to create your own look, and every cook knows that great food looks best on white china. What more can you want?"

the perfect pattern,September 17, 2008
By imgettingmarriedfrom new york
"We love this pattern - elegant enough for formal dining but simple enough for every day. We've had great trips to Paris and this is an everyday reminder of our special travels to the Louvre. Several friends have recommended this based on durability, as well."

Wonderful china,August 29, 2008
By solarladyfrom Silver Spring, MD
"Bernardaud Louvre is a beautiful pattern, high quality, very durable, and versatile. Can be used everyday (which I do) or for special occasions. I've used my set for about 7 years and have almost no chips or cracks. Not cheap, but worth it. Highly recommended."

I love my Louvre china more and more every day!,May 22, 2008
By Leighshafrom Boston
"When I was shopping for china I thought I would find white too plain and boring. But the Bernardaud Louvre pieces are just so beautiful, I'm so glad I bought them. I couldn't be happier. Louvre is perfect for everyday use as well as for special occasions. I love the mix and match flexibilty I have using Louvre as my primary base. For example, I bought a few serving pieces in a higher-end Bernardaud pattern (Constance) and that's all it takes to dress up a table for a birthday or any other celebration. Bernardaud Louvre is such great china for a fairly reasonable price. Highly recommended!"

"Four years later and we are still extremely happy with the Louvre collection. Durbable, classy, and wonderful pieces! Tip: when making a registry, my husband was starting to get appalled at the idea that we needed a fine dining collection as well as everyday...we were pleased to see the Louvre dinner plate could be dressed up with chargers and their different styles of plates, as well as be used for everyday dishes! This is an excellent setting for the no fuss couple! (how many of you have fine dinnerware collecting dust?) And if you like, its wonderful to dress the dishes up with different colored platters throughout the year!"

Simply Exquisite,April 12, 2008
By NJShopper08from NJ
"I registered for this pattern as my wedding china. I absolutely cherish it. Only downside to this beautiful and timeless pattern is that it's difficult to find! Apparently, Bernardaud has a limited production schedule. I truly love that I'll be celebrating with these beautiful pieces for many years to come."

Best china ever!,December 6, 2007
By ltshopperfrom Sunnyvale, Califronia
"This is the best china ever! My husband and I selected this pattern for our wedding china due to its beauty and durability. It is so versatile as well- from microwave to dishwasher to oven to table. You can use it everywhere because the design is in the relief of the china, not paint or metal decoration! We use this china every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night snacks, children's parties and formal events- it is amazing!"

I love my Bernardaud "Louvre" china,November 9, 2007
By SDMomfrom San Diego, CA
"It's so pretty that I want to visit the Louvre. Seriously. I registered for this set in our wedding registry 3 years ago and have used in for different special occasions and I just love the way it looks and feels. I'm excited when I plan something that warrants me to bring it out. I love that the patterns are different for each piece and the details are so small and dainty. Seeing the pieces together makes it somehow make a bolder subtle statement, because it really stands out. I get great compliments on it every time I put it out and can change up depending on how I dress the table or by using cloths/linens or use bright flowers in a center piece depending on the occasion. I just used the tea cups, saucers, and soup tureen (my favorite piece) for ladies tea - a fun one, not a stuffy one - and I put flowers in the soup tureen. I looked so good. It's a heavier weight then most china, which I appreciate and it's absolutely beautiful. You have to see it person if you are wavering with an online purchase."

Fabulous and timeless,November 15, 2006
By NewBride2from Princeton, NJ
"I recently got married and this was the pattern I picked for my china even though I had never heard of the brand. I have since banged them around a bit, not to mention the beating they take getting shipped to my house, and they stand up to it. The pattern is simple yet elegant. My husband and I are not likely to get "sick of them" because of their simple elegance. We look forward to many years of use of the Louvre china."

"This louvre pattern is timeless and goes well with any color or decor. Macy's has a wide selection of this products. Every year the company produces another two or more pieces. Tea cups & saucers,October 4, 2006

"We can hardly wait to continue collecting this amazingly beautiful, delicate and interesting pattern, Bernardaud "Louvre" Dinnerware, photos don't do it justice. Each item has a different style border but since the pattern is solid white it isn't too busy. We have very different tastes, one likes modren the other like classical design and we both agreed on this pattern. We hope to one day have a full set of this China. The items we purchased were beautiful and arrived very well packed."
