"I have this product since a year ago, and I am very satisfied. We use this at home for milk shakes and food processor. I will detail pros/cons of both:
SHAKES Pros: + It's fundamental to have a heavy duty glass recipient + Great for ice crush + Powerful + Fast + Option to mix/stir + Pulse button very handy
SHAKES Cons: - Extremely noisy to a point I try to cover my ears. - It's pricey if you ONLY want shakes and not interested in food processor.
FOOD Pros: + Super fast for shredding + Good capacity + Sharp stainless steel blade
FOOD Cons: - Slicing/shredding disc has only a few options. I would love more discs - Also extremely noisy with this functions - Plastic recipient not the best quality
OVERALL: Is good to have an all-in-one product, but it's missing some extras that you may find in a food processor regarding accessories. The price is ok if you really take advantage of both functions shake+processor."

"We had this product about 1 year and 2 months. It was a gift off of our wedding registry. We only used it maybe twice a month and it blew up last December. So we got about 30 uses out of it. I will never buy another Cuisinart Blender again."

"We use this all the time!! When we first got it 3 years ago (someone bought it for us off of our wedding registry), we used the blender part alot to make margaritas. They always turned out perfectly blended! Now we use the food processor all the time to make baby food. It is so easy to toss in any fruit, vegetable, or meat for delicous and healthy homemade food for my 8 month old daughter. I have recommended this product for many of my friends... I just bought it for one friend who also had it on her registry, and she loves it too!"

"This blender is a little onerous to use since there were so many parts to it, so I ended up not using it very often. When I DO use it, it does the job, but sometimes have to stir it around a few times to grind up all the bits."

"I purchased this product four months ago and it is the worst. I woke up this morning to make a smoothie and the blender would not work. Since I purchased I noticed that the blender is noisy, has smoke if you put more than two pieces of fruit in the blender, and does not work well with ice and other products. It does not do a good job of crushing ice and/or bringing the products to a smooth consistency. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this product. Now, I need to go and purchase a new blender."

"Powerful and very easy to clean. I have peace of mind in knowing that the unit is in fact easy to clean. I know that there would never be hidden bacteria within any part of the unit. The blades are very sharp, which we appreciate in a processor. Non-drip pitcher. Unit is very sturdy. The blender will make a weird sound only when you neglect to properly tighten the blade component to the bottom of the pitcher. Easily crushes ice. The processor is awesome and best for a small family because of it's size. The controls are very easy to use and I love the modern look of the unit."

"I have long sought for both a food processor and a blender and when I saw that this unit combined both in one, at first I was suspicious. But I have a good experience with Cuisinart and decided to give it a shot. I am so happy I did! The knives are super sharp and the blender is quiet and works well as well. I cook for two people and use either approximately twice a week. I have had it for a half a year and so far have no complaints! I even got to like the color and bought a matching coffee maker from Cuisinart."

Broke 2 in less than a month...,August 18, 2007

"I bought this unit so that my wife would have a little bit more than she needed when making our sons baby food. We purchased it on the 23 of July, 2007 (at the Pentagon City Mall), and at first it worked as advertised. You know, chopping up little pieces of meat, and vegetables, and fruit. Then on the 9th of August, the lights would come on when we turned it on, and nothing else would happen. So took it back (to the Landmark Mall) on the 12th, and they graciously accepted the return and replaced it with another. Well, it is now the 18th (it broke on the 16th) and we turned it in for the last and final time, today (the 18th). I can't believe that two of them broke in less than a month! I thought that Cuisenart was a good name that stood for quality and durability. Now I see that I was sadly mistaken. We're still looking for a food processor, but it most certainly will not be a cusinart!"

"Out of the box this thing makes the worst grinding sound possible. It has to have a recall going on. You can hear the clutch grinding as you try to use it. Very poorly engineered or mine is defective. It appears that the white rod in the center is not long enough to engage the safety so it just grinds with an awful sound. My neighbors a hundred feet away thought I was chain sawing wood in the back yard."
