"i made a purchase of this cream because almost all people (30 people out of 31) gave 5 stars review to this product, and only 1 person out of 31 people gave 2 stars. I bought it from macys.com, the product page of this cream doesn't mention the ingredient at all. I just received it today. I found out the ingredient on the tube, which is petrolatum 56.8%. OMG!! Petroleum jelly is basically a byproduct of the oil industry.
If i wouldn't mind, i would just buy Vaseline instead, for much cheaper price!! I should believe Ms Slcik before I made the purchase, she is the only person who gave 2 stars to this product and said, "It feels like heavy vaseline and smells awful ! ""

"This product is almost unbelievable. I live in Denver, Colorado, so I'm at high elevation (especially so when I'm in the mountains or skiing), and moisturizing becomes really difficult to do effectively. My hands and elbows are constantly dry and cracking. This product has smoothed out my cracked skin and made it soft and glowy! It is very sticky at first, but you just work it into the skin—a little goes a long way. Also, I pat it into my lips at night and wake up with soft, line-free lips. It's a must-have for me everywhere I go now. Anyone at high elevation, or just in need of intense moisture really needs to try this product!"

"I wish I had bought it sooner. After suffering from chapped lips for years, I have finally found a cure!,,,,also great for cold sores, eczema rash, my dry cuticles and chapping on my hands in winter, a callous on my foot, dry heels, I just put a small dab on any spot I need it on at bedtime,,,,it's gone in the morning! I do put a small dab on my lips every night at bedtime! Thank You Elizabeth Arden for this most wonderful product! "This stuff is like a medicinal brownish thick petroleum jelly, which shocked me, but I used it on my dry, flaky eyelids and it worked a miracle where nothing else that I had used had worked. I recommend it! Get over using those creams that smell good but don't do a thing for your skin! (The instructions say to avoid the eyes, but I was careful, and my eyelids benefitted.)"

"I actually just bought Eight Hour Cream today for the first time ever after reading for so long about how celebrities can't live without it, it's the best stuff ever, etc.... Well, now I know why. This stuff is great! My lips were splitting and extremely chapped and they are already better after jut a few hours of wearing this. They felt soothed instantly. I have horribly dry cuticles and nothing has worked, so I'm really hoping this works as well as everyone says. It has a really weird smell, but it's not awful, just kind of antiseptic. I would recommend this product!"

"I have been using this for my lips for years! When my sister was in the hospital she took mine from me and I had to go and buy her one before she would give mine back! LOL! I have recently found it very comforting to my feet also. My feet were so dry and cracking. So bad they would bleed. MY friend would give me foot creams in hopes I would use them so they wouldn't have to see my UGLY FEET! I've tried a number of moisturizers but none would really help. NOW my feet are so soft and I can wear sandles again without feeling embarassed that somebody will look at my feet. I GIVE THIS PRODUCT A "10"!"

"I have been using this product for as long as I can remember. Even though it is a cosmetic, I have used it for medical purposes.
It is better than than any burn cream that I have tried, great for insect bites (takes the sting out immediately) sun burn, chapped elbows, dry cuticles, rashes, and helps promote healing of sores. I never travel without it."

"i read about this cream for a long time and wondered what all the hype is about so i bought it about a month ago and love it. i only use it on my elbows and heels since living in so cal makes my elbows and heels extremly dry. i rub a very small amount on 2 times per week and my elbows and heels feel super soft. its a vaseline kinda of texture so its too greasy/oily for me to use all over as some people do but thats a personal preference. it works so well my daughter is hooked now as well. i see myself using this for years to come."

"I wanted to know what all the hype was about...make up artists all over the world swear by it as the one thing they cannot do without. Well basically it has the consistency of Vaseline, maybe a bit thinner, and is orange in color. Initially, I really did not expect more from this product other than what Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly based product can do. The scent is just awful and reminds me of some organic compound from my chemistry lab. Despite all this, -WOW- this stuff really works! I bought for use on my cuticles but I have also used it successfully on dry patches of skin on my elbow, knee and heel area. I was surprised to read about all the other uses on this site but that is what ultimately convinced me to give it a try."

"I was pregnant when I knew about 8-Hour Cream. I went to buy the Elizabeth Arden Gift with purchase during summer time (I was pregnant due June 17th). I asked the associate what she suggested for me to complete the purchase and she told me: Since you are pregnant, the 8-Hour is going to be good to rub on your belly to hydrate the skin after delivery and even help with the stretch marks. Well, I bought it and I am happy with it. It smell different than any other lotion. You could say that is so petrolish but it is great on all the body. It is really amazing."

"I dont leave the house without this cream, my lips always peel and chap, and when i dont use this, it would bleed.
