"This is such an incredible machine, I enjoy using it so much I can hardly wait to bake the next batch of goodies I have on my list to make. It handles the large batches just like it says it does and purrs like a champ while doing it. The wide mouth bowl is an absolute joy to work with - so easy to pour and get into. I do quite a lot with cheese and this has handled some large batches unbelievably well. In addition, I can grate the cheese with the grater attachment for the next batch while mixing the current one. Talk about time management - I love it!! My mom is in her 70's and has been an avid Kitchen Aid user for many years. She saw this one in action during her last visit with me and liked the wide mouth bowl so well she plans to purchase one. In a nutshell, I absolutely love baking and consider myself privileged to have one of these in my kitchen."

"my mom gave it to me for xmas . i used it to make simple things like boxed cake mix to home made breads and it worked great!!! the parts are easy to switch and it does a great job and getting eggs whipped into peaks!"

"I received this for my birthday. I absolutely love it. However, when I used the whisk (it came with) it made a banging noise against the bowl. I am planning on calling KitchenAid to further investigate this issue. Nevertheless, I feel extremely honored to have a KitchenAid. I especially love the lift arm"

Trust me, get one like this with the bowl-lifter!,August 17, 2009

"I purchased this model for my mom for her birthday. This was the second go-around on the Kitchenaid mixer. I first got her the one without the bowl-lifting mechanism and then returned it for this model. If you plan on using the dough-hook attachment, you need the bowl-lifter which keeps the bowl in place. The bowl won't move and it lets the hook do its job. Forget about using the dough-hook with the models that don't have the lifter - they wobble. This is a solid, heavy duty professional mixer that will last for decades. Go for it!"

"I love how easy this is to use- just dump in the ingredients and turn it on. The hardest thing for me to stir by hand is bread dough, but I just pop in the dough hook and flip this on, and it does the work for me! I've also replaced my potato masher, because this will make the smoothest mashed potatoes as well!"

"My Kitchen aid will celebrate its 32nd birthday this christmas. For 32 years I have been able to create the most delicious cookies, candy, cakes and pastries thanks to my kitchen aid. Before receiving the kitchen aid mixer I had burnt up 3 stand mixers making cookies and candies in the first few years of my marriage. Then Santa gave me my kitchen aid mixer. What a life saver. "I love this mixer! Recipes taste a lot better when made with this product. I have made the same recipes using just a standard hand mixer, and then using this mixer and they really taste better! This mixer can take a beating too. I have mixed ingredients in it that would burn out the motor in anything else. Although the mixer is a little pricey you wont regret purchasing it."

"Hands down, the best wedding gift I received. Whether I'm making cookie, bread, or cake, my mixer is great! Ive been looking at the other attachments and am excited to get the ice cream maker! The only thing I do not like about the mixer is the splatter proof lid. It's difficult to get on, and the spout is on the opposite side, making it hard to add additional ingredients. Other than that a must have for every kitchen."
