"My husband and I received this china for our wedding. I absolutely love it! It is extremely durable and really beautiful. It is quite expensive but I don't anticipate ever buying other everyday china!

I also recommend the rice bowl rather than the cereal bowl. We use them every morning! We also received the breakfast cups (8) and 4 mugs. The breakfast cups are a little wider than the mugs and are great for coffee, ice cream, dessert, etc."

"I have a thing for china and have tried various every day china, inlcuding Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. My husband talked me into try Villeroy and Boch because that's what he grew up with. I love the Cottage Inn set because I can mix and match the patterns so I don't get bored. The best part is when I'm tossing the dishes into the dishwasher or piling them into the sink they virtually never get the chips and scratches I've seen on other dishes. They will also be an heirloom for our children. Buy them, you won't regret it!"

"I originally saw the Cottage pattern at a Villeroy & Boch store when I was visiting my family in Austria and fell in love with the pattern because of the colors that fit into my decor. When I found out that it was microwaveable, I knew I had to buy it when I returned back home.

I bought a service for four and now am adding another service for two. I get many compliments on the pattern."

"I registered for the VB cottage as my everyday china and another brand for special occasions. I love the VB so much, I'm going to take the other back and expand my set of VB. It is just lovely! This china can be used for all ccasions. I don't think I will ever get tired of it...it's timeless!"

"I love the versatility of this china. I can dress it up or make it casual by my choice of linens or by using the other choices of plates within this china pattern. I've bought different colors/patterns so that I can mix and match and love that about this. Also, this is a colorful pattern and you can pick up so many different colors as you set the table. It matches with white dishes and I have blue and red spongeware bowls that are perfect as well. It is durable--not a chip yet and Macy's makes it easy to pick pieces up on sale. Great choice for years of wear!"

"I purchased these dishes because of the variety of mix-and-match patterns and the colors. I am very pleased with them and have been getting many compliments from family and guests. The "extra" pieces, creamer & sugar, coffee pot etc. are especially nice in shape and size. The patterns are also easy to coordinate with linens I already own. You can dress these up or dress them down, so they are very versatile. They are also very good quality, with a bright finish that is not easily marred the way cheaper dishes can be.
I bought the breakfast cups but found them to be a bit too large. I returned them and got the tea cups and saucers. For my family, the tea cups were a better size. Macy's made the return process simple and hassle-free, a huge plus in my book!
I absolutely love my new dishes!!"

of my favorite things about it, is that each "Cottage" dinner plate has

"I was given 32 pieces of this set as a pre-wedding gift several months ago. It is the most beautiful set I've seen in a long time. "Great quality and beauty. Mix and match patterns are all there for you to choose, so everyone can put their own personal taste and twist to their settings. Consider purchasing the rice bowl. It is a perfect choice for cereal and ice cream - my husband's favorite. Also, this set matches Mikasa French White dinnerware in shape and color, to have as a backup and to add more choices tp your place settings ( I bought my set at Macy's). Enjoy!"
