"This perfume is so nice I am always getting asked what perfume are you wearing, not because it is over powering or I have put too much on. Men and women just seem to like the smell on me, so if your getting compliments of cause your going to keep wearing this perfume. This is my everyday perfume and I think the price is worth every cent, the only thing I would say I wish it would come in smaller size for my handbag.
I hope everyone enjoys this perfume as much as I do."

"Opium is my signature fragrance, and has been for most of my adult life. My family and friends think of me when they catch a whiff. Opium is heady, sexy, and intoxicating fragrance for women of substance and the men who admire and adore them -- not a fragrance for a silly girl. I think it's perfect for a Capricorn woman... but then, I am Capricorn. :-)"

"After having tried numerous fragrances over the years, I always come back to Opium. I've used it since it was introduced, and it has shared most of my life with me. Many magical moments and wonderful emotions of the past are always experienced when I spray this unique fragrance on my wrists. "I've been wearing Opium ever since it came out. My husband has always bought me an ounce of perfume every Christmas and I buy myself the other products. Why don't you carry the one ounce bottles of perfume anymore? Even if you don't carry them in every store it would be nice if we could order it from you online."

"i began using opium eau de parfume when it first became available. i am now 76 years old and i still prefer it over all other fragrances. over the tears i have always received compliments on my perfume , often from total strangers. at times when it was hard to find i have tried chanel and other well known fragrances, but nothing works for me like opium! i hope it will always be available at macy's . i love to shop macy's and i love to wear opium. a great combination!"

"There are those I have met and remember forever. Some have even become an important part of my life. Others I have known for just a while. There are perfumes I have tired for just a while and then there is Opium The scent lingers forever, triggering memories and creating moods. Opium has become an important part of my life. Like the people who are woven into my life, so is Opium. I have worn Opium on special occacions and I have worn it while all alone. OPIUM has moved with me through my life for over 25 years. The first bottle was the first gift ever given to me by my husband while we were dating. He passed away in 1996, but I remember how much he liked to put his arms around me and take on the scent of Opium on my neck. Thanks to the creaters for enhancing my life and keeping the memories fresh."

"I have used Opium perfume for many years, and just love it! My favorite is the body creme, which seems to meld with my personal body scent and creats a special scent just for me. "Introduced in 1977, Opium was an immediate success for YSL. A dry oriental fragrance with mock masculine notes, Opium set a standard for modern luxe perfumery. The fragrance features carnation at its heart, peppered with clove and other spicy notes. Lacking in sweet notes, it is a distinctive "signature" scent for an entire generation of women.

The original campaign for Opium featured the model Jerry Hall in a luxurious and decadent setting; it was meant to suggest that the perfume was addictive to women and irresistible to men.

The flanker products (lotions, cremes) are highly scented and very high quality."

Nothing Like Opium

"I have faithfully used Opium since 1977 when I was introduced to it while working at an upscale department store. It is sophisticated with a hint of the orient. I have tried many, many new fragrances and none come close to Opium. I continue to receive compliments from both men and women whenever I wear it. I recently purchased the limited edition Opium Fleur Imperiale to wear for day wear. It is lighter than the traditional Opium - but very nice. However, nothing can replace the ultimate indulgance - the Opium parfum!"

"I have been using OPIUM since approx 1980. No matter where I go or whom I am with, people always ask what fragrance am I wearing. I have had both Men and Women tell me it is intoxicating, sexy and sensual. My ONLY complaint is that it seems the line keeps getting smaller and smaller and wish they would bring back many of the former products. I even have the original soap holder that unfortunatley the new size soaps do not fit in. However, if you are looking for a fragrance that is exotic and not flowery as if in a floral warehouse, this IS for you!!!!! As long as OPIUM is available, I will ALWAYS be a loyal wearer."
